Advent Scriptures on Hope

Since this is the Season of Advent we thought it would be appropriate for us to memorize some scriptures related to the four weeks of Advent.  So each week
we will post scriptures on Hope, Peace, Joy and Love that you may choose to memorize.

This Week is the first week of Advent which focuses on Hope.
Listed below are some Scriptures on Hope you may want to memorize this week.

  • Hope is a Promise:
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,
for He who promised is faithful.  Hebrews 10:23
  • Hope is Living:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1 Peter 1:3
  • Hope is Grace:
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;1 Peter 1:13
  • Hope is God:
who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. 1 Peter 1:21
  • Hope is In You:
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 1 Peter 3:15
  • Hope is an Anchor:
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, Hebrews 6:19
  • Hope is our Future:
looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,  Titus 2:13

Blessings to you as you focus on the Hope we have in Him this week.
If you would like we have created a list of this week’s scriptures on Hope that you can print out if you would like to be reminded to focus on one or more of them daily this week or print out to share with others that might want to do so.
