A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Lamentations 3:24

This Week’s Memory Verse: Lamentations 3:24 NKJV
“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”

(Here is the KJV for those who want to memorize that verson:
“The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.”

This Week’s Message:
The word “portion” means inheritance, share, possession or award (from God).
I this chapter of Lamentations we read the laments of Jeremiah. He speaks of his many sorrows and trials and says he feels the LORD has forgotten him,
and his strength and hope are waning, but then.his soul remembers who it belongs to and what it has inherited and it rises up inside of Jeremiah to strenghten him
and remind him that he should hope, for the LORD Himself is Jeremiah’s inheritance, and with Him he will receive eternal life.

This verse is a good one for us to memorize and recall to our minds when we might become discouraged and feeling that the LORD has forgotten us.
We can use it to encourage ourselves that we have so much more than these earthly possessions, we have a heavenly inheritance, a share in the LORD’s kingdom,
our souls will dwell with the LORD for eternity, so let;s memorize this verse and encourage our souls with it daily.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might.

Blessings to you as you memorize this encouraging word this week!

Scripture Memorization–Spiritual Blessings: Enlightenment

Ephesians 1:18 This Week’s Scripture:
the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,  Ephesians 1:18 NKJV

This Week’s Message:
Before salvation we were lost, living in darkness, our minds were blinded to the truth.  However, once we believed and received Christ, it was as if a light was turned on, because Christ is the Light of the World and His Holy Spirit within us fills us with light and reveals truth to us as never before!
Therefore, one
of the Spiritual Blessings we believers receive in Christ is Enlightenment, which means, spiritually we are no longer in the dark.
Our understanding of scripture is increased, our minds are open to the knowledge of God’s will, and we are able to know the truth.

Let’s Memorize this verse and use this Blessing daily so that we can learn and grow and bring glory to God, every day in every way!
