A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization: Micah 6:8

This Week’s Memory Verse: Micah 6:8 NKJV
He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the LORD require of you
But to do justly, To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?

( For those who choose to memorize in the KJV
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Micah 6:8 KJV )

This Week’s Message:
What does God want? Goodness, Mercy, Love, Justice and a Relationship with you.
This Week’s verse shows us pretty plainly how the LORD wants us to live.

  • The verse says that God has shown us what is good and that is:
  • He wants us to be fully committed to Him and walk humbly with Him daily.
  • He wants us to be upright in all our daily doings.
  • He wants us to be merciful towards others as He has been merciful towards us.
  • He wants us to do good, be kind, loving, exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.

When you think about it, what He is requiring of us is no more than He has done.
He is not asking much of us, He just wants us to have a close personal relationship with Him, one in which we love Him as He loves us.
If we do this our lives will be good, spiritually rich, and full of blessings.

Memorize this verse to remind yourself daily how the LORD wants you to live.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might benefit from it also.

Blessings to you daily as you memorize His wonderful word!

We need to be reminded of Christ’s wonderful love for us and what He did for us.
We need to be reminded who we are in Christ and how we are to live.

A to Z-Book by Book Scripture Memorization: Deut. 6:5

This Week’s Memory Verse: Deuteronomy 6:5 ESV
You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

  • This Week’s Message:
This week’s verse is probably a familiar one to most of you. It is an important one and a very good one to not only memorize but to also commit to doing daily.

Moses first spoke this verse to the Israelites, but Jesus also spoke it to his followers.
    ( see Matthew 22:37. Mark 12:30 and Luke 10:27)
Jesus said “This is the first and great commandment.” Matthew 22:38.
So, I would say it is a very important verse to not only memorize but also to do.

Loving the LORD your God with all your heart, soul and might,

  • would be completely submitting yourself to Him in all things, all the time.
  • It would be saying daily “not my will, but Your will, LORD God”
  • It would be saying daily “It’s not about me, but only about You LORD God”
  • In all we say, think, do, we believers should live for Him every moment of every day.

So let’s Memorize and Live this verse daily—it is “the first and great commandment” and will be a blessing to our lives and also to those we come in contact with daily.

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your refrigerator, bathroom mirror, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might see it.

Blessings,

Nuggets of Truth–Scripture Memory Verse–Q

Gold Letter QThis Week’s Memory Verse:
Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth. Psalm 119:88 KJV

This Week’s Message:
‘Quicken me” I have always loved the word “quicken”. It isn’t used today, I wish it was for, to me, it has a certain urgency to it, kind of a desparate plea.
Quicken means: revive, restore, give life. In this verse, David is asking the LORD God to revive his strength, restore his faith, give him grace to obey and proceed in God’s word.
David so wanted to live according to God’s way and will that he often asked God to show him loving-kindness to help him keep on the right path. David knew without the daily help of God, he couldn’t make it on his own.

Jesus said in John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

And so, we should pray daily, as David did, that God will quicken us, so that we can abide in Jesus and bear much fruit.

Let’s memorize this verse and pray it daily.
