PRAYER FOR MAY 2012
Dear God, thank You for Your word which tells me how I can live successfully in this world each day.
I see from Your word that I need to commit my way to You daily.
This means that I need to give everything over to You, all my cares, hopes, dreams, desires, basically the whole of my life.
I need to give it all over to You daily.
Then, as I do that, I need to trust that You will take it all and work it all out for good in my life.
I need to just let it all go and then rely on You, and be confident in You, every moment of every day.
If I do all of that, I can expect that You will bring what is best for me into my life daily.
Dear God, I want to do that!
I want to see Your word brought to life in my world today!
Therefore, I choose to commit my way to You right now.
I choose to trust You, and wait upon You to bring about all I need each day, for I know You are a loving Father who cares for me, Your child.
Thank You, God. Amen.

When Dad's mower broke down, Mom kept dropping hints about getting it fixed before the grass grew too tall.
However, true to Dad's form he kept procrastinating and putting off doing the necessary repairs.
Finally, one day Mom decided to make him do something about it.
She went out, sat in the tall grass, and began clipping it with a small pair of scissors.
Dad came walking by, stopped for awhile to look, and then left without saying a word.
After a few moments he returned and handed Mom an old toothbrush.
"And, what am I supposed to do with that!" Mom said sarcastically.
"Well, I thought you could sweep the sidewalk with this after you finish cutting the grass." Dad said.
"....Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of it's own." Matthew 6:34(NIV)  |
