Prayer for December 2019

Dear God
Thank You God the Father, for sending Your Son Jesus to be the Saviour of the world.
Thank You God  the Father, for the free gift of salvation that Jesus brought to me and all those who believe on His name.
Thank You God the Father, for Your grace, mercy and faith which are freely given to me and all believers.

As I enter this season of Advent and time of Christmas celebrations of Jesus birth,
I am reminded once again to look forward to that blessed hope of Jesus’ second coming, which will be a glorious time for me and all believers.

He who is the great God, and our Saviour, will return to earth again, not as a babe in a manger, but as a conqueror, a King of all kings and a Lord of all lords.  What a wonderful day that will be!

I want to keep the truth of this scripture in my focus daily, not just during this season of Christmas, but in every season, every day, I want to be looking for the return and glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.
