A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization–2 Samuel 7:22

This Week’s Memory Verse: 2 Samuel 7:22 KJV
Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee,…

This Week’s Message:
In this weeks verse we hear a very grateful David praising God for who He is and for all He has done for David and for the people of Israel.
God has just spoken to David through the prophet Nathan of how He has blessed David and will continue to bless David’s seed after him and will establish Davids throne and kingdom forever.

As God was with David all his days, so He is with us. And, as God blessed David so He blesses us also.  So, let’s memorize this verse and speak it out from our heart to God daily as a wonderful prayer of praise to Him!

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might benefit from it also.

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization–1 Samuel 15:29

This Week’s Memory Verse: 1 Samuel 15:29 KJV
And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent:
for he is not a man, that he should repent.

This Week’s Message:
In this week’s verse we are reminded that God does not lie, nor repent. God’s word is true. What He says or does will stand forever, because His judgements and actions are always just.
We can be sure that whatever He has spoken will come about. We can stand firm on His word.
This week’s verse reminds us of Numbers 23:19 which says the same:
“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”

Memorize this weeks verse as an encouragement to yourself, that in this world that is so unstable and insecure, there is one thing that we can be absolutely sure of,
and stand firm on–it is God’s word.
Then, use this verse as you witness to others, share with them the blessing of knowing there is Someone and something they can absolutely believe and trust in,
Someone who will never lie, Someone whose word is always true and good, Someone who is always just, Someone who is so upright that there is no need for repentance.
That Someone is God Almighty (Gen.17:1), the Strength of Israel (1Sam.15:29), Just One (Acts 22:14), Righteous One (1John 2:1), Spirit of Truth (John 14:17), All in All (Col.3:11).
Praise Him today!

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Ruth 2:12

This Week’s Memory Verse: Ruth 2:12 KJV
The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.

This Week’s Message:
This week’s verse is what Boaz, an Israelite, spoke to Ruth, who was a foreigner in his land.  It is a Blessing he bestowed upon Ruth because of her actions.
Ruth was a Moabite, not an Israelite.  She was of a people whose lifestyle was very different than the Israelites.
After Ruth lost her husband, who was one of Naomi’s sons, she chose to leave her country, her family, her friends and her people and go with Naomi, her Israelite mother-in-law, to help her and protect her on a journey to a new land, among people whom she did not know, people who worshiped and believed in a God she did not know.
Ruth showed genuine compassion and love for her mother-in-law and chose to trust in God because she saw and admired the faith of Naomi and the Israelite people. Boaz saw this quality in her and chose to bless her because of it.

Let’s memorize this verse this week as a reminder to challenge ourselves to live our life as Ruth did. Selfless, Humble, Compassionate, Loving and Trusting.
As we live out our faith daily, others will see and admire these qualities in us, God will be glorified, and we will be blessed.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might benefit from it also.

Have a wonderful week walking in faith, love. and trust daily.

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Romans 6:23

This Week’s Memory Verse: Romans 6:23 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

This Week’s Message:
Dear friends, I am assuming that all of you who are signed up for this Weekly Memorization are believers in Christ and have received God’s gift of eternal life.

At sometime in your life you had a choice, you could have chosen to serve the world, the flesh and the devil and receive the wages that go with that earthly lifestyle of sin.
Those wages which are spiritual death–a life lived separate from God here on earth and someday eternally.
But…you chose to serve God by believing and receiving His Son, Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and thereby received God’s gift of life abundantly here on earth and someday eternally.  Praise God for that choice! It is by far the best one!

This week’s verse shows us that all mankind basically has this life and death choice.
Believe and receive Christ and choose to serve God, receive the gift of eternal life.
Refuse to believe–reject Christ and you will receive the wages of sin, which is death–eternally. It is a sobering thought.

Memorize this verse and rejoice that you have made the best choice–the one which receives eternal life.
Then, share this verse with all you know who are un-believers and pray that they will make the right choice also.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might benefit from it also.

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Proverbs 3:5

This Week’s Memory Verse: Proverbs 3:5 KJV
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

This Week’s Message:
This Week’s Memory Verse is a good one to memorize because in our daily lives we will often need to be reminded to do this.

Many times things happen, or don’t happen, that we can’t understand, therefore we need to be reminded that God’s ways are not our ways and we need to just place all our confidence in Him that things will work out for the best somehow in someway.
We need to trust in the LORD everyday with all our mind, heart, and soul, leaning upon His understanding of things and not on ours.
This makes our lives so much easier if we do this. For by trusting in Him and not leaning onto our own understanding, we eliminate the temptation to worry and fret, things He has told us not to do.
If we really believe that He is in control of everything, then there is no need for us to try to figure things out. We should just trust in Him as He tells us to do.

Memorize this verse and do what it says daily. You will find how much more peaceful your life will become.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization: Philippians 4:13

This Week’s Memory Verse: Philippians 4:13 KJV
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

This Week’s Message:
This week’s verse is one of my very favorites and one which I had memorized years ago and have often called it to mind whenever I felt the need for strength.
I have spoken it aloud, prayed it, and shared it with others. It is one of those basic go to verses that all of us will need to have in our mind and heart in order that we might call it quickly to mind whenever and whatever the need.
Paul says in the preceding verse: “I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.” Philippians 4:12 (NLT)  Paul had learned to be content in any situation he was in because Christ gave him the strength to do so.

Hebrews 13:8 says: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Therefore, since Christ is the same today as He was in Paul’s time, we can be sure that Christ will strengthen us just as He did Paul.

Memorize this verse so you can carry it in your mind and heart as a reminder to you that you can do anything through Christ.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.  It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might benefit from it also.

Blessings to you as you do all things through Christ you strengthens you this week and always.

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization: Philemon 1:4

This Week’s Memory Verse: Philemon 1:4 KJV
I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,

This Week’s Message:
This Week’s Memory Verse reminds us to give thanks for and continually pray for our brothers and sisters in the Lord.
As we read the whole chapter of Philemon we can see that Paul is grateful for and praying for:

  • his fellow labourers in the Lord ( 1:1 and 1:24)
  • his fellow soldier in the Lord (1:2)
  • his fellow labourers home church (1:3)
  • his fellow servants, brothers, partners (1:16-17)
  • his fellow prisoners (1:23)

As we memorize this week’s verse, let’s also remember to pray for our fellow believers in the Lord. Let’s pray for those brothers and sisters in our church community,
and our fellow believers who are friends or co-workers. Let’s remember to pray for those who are in prison for their work for the Lord or those who are being persecuted for their faith.

This week just take time to remember, give thanks and pray for all those you know who are fellow believers.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization–2 Peter 3:9

This Week’s Memory Verse: 2 Peter 3:9 KJV
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

This Week’s Message:
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise—the Lord has promised there will be a time that Christ will return and there will be a day of judgement–He has an appointed time that this will happen and it will happen at that time, not sooner–not later.
The Lord is not slow, He is not delaying the time, He is not tarrying—-what He is doing is being longsuffering or very patient, because He does not
want anyone to perish (die in sin) but He wants all people to repent and come to be saved.
He set the time long ago to give everyone a chance for salvation but when that time arrives He will not extend it.
That is why in 2 Corinthians 6:2 it says “…behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation”
No one should wait to repent of their sins and accept Christ as their Savior, because no one knows how much time they have.

Memorize this verse and share it with those you know who are lost, let them know that they need to repent and believe and receive Christ now before it is too late.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization–1 Peter 3:18

This Week’s Memory Verse: 1 Peter 3:18 KJV
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

This Week’s Message:
The Bible’s New Living Translation says it this way: Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God.
He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.

Believers, we know that Christ has brought us to God and He has given us new life in the Spirit, this verse explains it very well. Let’s memorize this verse and use it to share with those who don’t know this and this is another Trinity verse that we can share also.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might benefit from it also.

As you memorize and share this week, also remember to praise Christ for what He did to bring us to God and give thanks for His Spirit who has also quickened us to new life in Him for all eternity.

Blessings to you daily,

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Obadiah 1:15

This Week’s Memory Verse: Obadiah 1:15 KJV
For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.

This Week’s Message:
This week our memorization verse is not about us believers, it is about the ungodly people, those who choose to reject the LORD and do evil.
Obadiah was speaking about the coming judgment upon the ungodly people of Edom who were against Israel.
The book of Obadiah is the smallest book in the Old Testament–it is only one chapter, read it to better understand the meaning of this verse.

Then, as you memorize this verse, pray for the lost people and nations of the world who need salvation. Pray that they will repent before it’s too late.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization: Numbers 23:19

This Week’s Memory Verse: Numbers 23:19 KJV
God is not a man, that he should lie;….

This Week’s Message:
This Week’s verse is short, but powerful. God is telling us that He does not lie. And, we as believers all believe that in our hearts, and we know that in our minds, but….
there are times when we let doubt creep in, or fear, or insecurity. We wonder about this or that regarding a situation instead of just believing and trusting.
So this verse is one we should memorize and keep in our minds and hearts for those times of fear and doubt. Then, we can remind ourselves “God is not a man, that he should lie.”

Memorize this verse–Speak it out loud to yourself whenever you doubt or fear or are tempted. Know that God’s word is always true and that He will always keep His promises.
For, as the whole verse says: “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might benefit from it also.

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization: Nehemiah 9:17

This Week’s Memory Verse: Nehemiah 9:17 KJV
…but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness,…

This Week’s Message:
In this chapter of Nehemiah we see the children of Israel fasting, praying, repenting and worshipping the Lord. They are reading His word and declaring who He is. They are recalling His wondrous deeds to their forefathers and His love and care for all generations. They are praising His name as LORD, God, One who is forgiving, gracious, merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness.

This week as we memorize this verse let’s also take time to worship and praise Him, our God, who has all those attributes and more. Let’s make this week’s memory verse into a prayer of praise to Him, declaring that He is our God who is ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness. How blessed our week will be as we do this daily!

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization: Nahum 1:7

This Week’s Memory Verse: Nahum 1:7 KJV
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

This Week’s Message:
This week’s verse tells us three things:

  • The LORD is good
  • The LORD is a stronghold in the day of trouble
  • The LORD knows those that trust in HIm

What do these things mean to us in our daily lives? If we are believers, they mean that we have a Heavenly Father that is good, kind, loving and upright, someone we can count on to always be there for us, especially in time of trouble, for then we can run to Him for safety and protection from harm or fear.
It tells me that He knows who we are, for we are not strangers or someone He just knows of, no, He knows us personally. We are His children. We belong to Him.
He cares for us, watches over us, and protects us day and night.

What a wonderful verse! Memorize it and share it with all the believers you know and give thanks and praise to our wonderful LORD!

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization: Micah 6:8

This Week’s Memory Verse: Micah 6:8 NKJV
He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the LORD require of you
But to do justly, To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?

( For those who choose to memorize in the KJV
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Micah 6:8 KJV )

This Week’s Message:
What does God want? Goodness, Mercy, Love, Justice and a Relationship with you.
This Week’s verse shows us pretty plainly how the LORD wants us to live.

  • The verse says that God has shown us what is good and that is:
  • He wants us to be fully committed to Him and walk humbly with Him daily.
  • He wants us to be upright in all our daily doings.
  • He wants us to be merciful towards others as He has been merciful towards us.
  • He wants us to do good, be kind, loving, exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.

When you think about it, what He is requiring of us is no more than He has done.
He is not asking much of us, He just wants us to have a close personal relationship with Him, one in which we love Him as He loves us.
If we do this our lives will be good, spiritually rich, and full of blessings.

Memorize this verse to remind yourself daily how the LORD wants you to live.

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization- Matthew 28:19

This Week’s Memory Verse: Matthew 28:19 KJV
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

This Week’s Message:
Believers, before Jesus left this earth He instructed His followers to go, teach, and baptize–all nations. He said to teach the nations to observe all the things He had commanded.
I guess if that is our purpose in life, then we should know what He had commanded, therefore we need to be reading and studying the gospels to learn what Jesus taught His followers and then we need to ask Him out how we can share that with others today.

This is not something Jesus said lightly, this is a command to us, His followers, to do. This week as we memorize this verse let’s really think upon it and make plans to act upon it also.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might benefit from it also.

God’s blessings upon you this week as you memorize, ponder and pray.

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Mark 9:23-24

This Week’s Memory Verse: Mark 9:23-24 NKJV
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

(KJV for those who want to memorize in KJV)
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

This Week’s Message:
“If you can believe” Jesus said. “All things are possible to him who believes” Jesus said to this scribe who was not one of His followers, a man who had probably seen and heard Jesus, yet hadn’t really believed in Him. Scribes were teachers of the Law and often argued with Jesus and were against Him. I think the words Jesus spoke to the scribe were an invitation for him to believe in Jesus, not for him to believe that his son could be healed. I believe Jesus wanted the man to be healed of his unbelief first and then he would witness the healing of his son. And, the man did believe for he cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe”
To call Jesus, Lord, was to acknowledge that he did believe and receive Him as Lord and Savior, then he asks for forgiveness by saying “help my unbelief” which could be interpreted as forgive me for my lack of faith. A great thing happened that day for both the man and his son received healing and deliverance!

Memorize this verse and think upon it this week. Give thanks that you know Jesus as Lord. Give thanks that “all things are possible to him who believes” and if you have any unbelief, ask Jesus to remove it from you.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.  It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might benefit from it also.

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Luke 2:11

This Week’s Memory Verse: Luke 2:11 KJV
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

This Week’s Message:
I can remember hearing this verse and memorizing it as a child. I would hear it read in church every Christmas and I loved it. It, of course, didn’t have the full meaning to me then as it does now because as a child I didn’t really understand the amazing truth of what this verse was saying, but today it is a very special verse to me because it tells me that at some point in time God came to earth as a baby to deliver and redeem mankind from the curse of sin and death.
He came down from heaven to be our Savior. He was born of a woman and became man. He was called Christ which means Messiah, and Lord because He is Master of all.
What a wonderful event this was! We should celebrate everyday that Christ was born!

Memorize this verse and give thanks to God saying “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” Luke 2:14
for Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace and He, as God incarnate, came to
earth to bring good will toward all who will believe and receive Him as Savior and Lord.
For, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us” Matthew 1:23
.Hallelujah!

And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

This Week’s Message:
God was reminding the Israelites of the Blessings of Obedience. He was telling them to remember it was Him who brought them out of Egypt and reminding them of His Commandments and the importance of always obeying Him and honoring Him. He told them if they did He would walk among them and be their God, and they would be His people. He would dwell with them in the Tabernacle and would go where
ever they journeyed. He would bless them and provide for them. They would have a close personal relationship with each other. The choice was theirs, Him or the World, unfortunately their fleshly desires always seemed to lead them astray and they were never able to obey. That is why Christ had to come to fulfill the Law and bring those who believe in Him into a right relationship with God.

To me, this verse seems to be the promise of of what we believers have in Christ, for His Holy Spirit lives within us and is with us always and in Christ we can have a close personal relationship with God and receive His many blessings, peace, protection, and provision.

So, let’s memorize this beautiful, encouraging verse this week. Let’s give thanks that we are God’s people and that His Spirit dwells within us because of Christ.
Then, let’s walk and talk with God daily as His people.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might.

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Lamentations 3:24

This Week’s Memory Verse: Lamentations 3:24 NKJV
“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”

(Here is the KJV for those who want to memorize that verson:
“The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.”

This Week’s Message:
The word “portion” means inheritance, share, possession or award (from God).
I this chapter of Lamentations we read the laments of Jeremiah. He speaks of his many sorrows and trials and says he feels the LORD has forgotten him,
and his strength and hope are waning, but then.his soul remembers who it belongs to and what it has inherited and it rises up inside of Jeremiah to strenghten him
and remind him that he should hope, for the LORD Himself is Jeremiah’s inheritance, and with Him he will receive eternal life.

This verse is a good one for us to memorize and recall to our minds when we might become discouraged and feeling that the LORD has forgotten us.
We can use it to encourage ourselves that we have so much more than these earthly possessions, we have a heavenly inheritance, a share in the LORD’s kingdom,
our souls will dwell with the LORD for eternity, so let;s memorize this verse and encourage our souls with it daily.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might.

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization–1Kings 18:39

This Week’s Memory Verse:
The LORD He is the God, the LORD He is the God. 1Kings 18:39 KJV

This Week’s Message:
I chose this verse for us to memorize this week as a praise and worship verse, it is kind of a cheer leading chant actually. It is saying that there maybe many gods but the LORD He is THE GOD!  Allelujah!  Amen!
This verse is taken from the account in 1Kings where Elijah comes up against the prophets of Baal. When Elijah calls down the fire from heaven he proves that the LORD is the God, as he was victorious over the prophets of Baal. And when that happened–“All the people saw it, they fell on their faces and they said “the LORD He is the God, the LORD He is the God”

There is no one or nothing that is more powerful than the LORD for He truly is the One True God.  Praise Him this week as you cheer for Him daily repeating this week’s verse to yourself or anyone you might choose to share it with.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might.

Blessings to you daily.

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Judges 16:28

This Week’s Memory Verse: Judges 16:28 KJV
…O Lord GOD, remember me,
I pray thee, and strengthen me,…

This Week’s Message:
This Week’s Memory Verse is short but powerful. It is a plea for help.
The entire verse is a plea from a blinded man who is not asking for healing but for strength.
I chose to use just part of this verse for us to memorize because there are always times in our lives when we need the Lord’s strength or help, and this short prayer would be good to have in our memory to use in such times. Whether we need physical, mental or spiritual strength or help, I believe the Lord will hear us as we pray and will respond, just as He did for Samson in his time of need.

Samson’s prayed this prayer to the LORD just before his death. In chapter 16 in the book of Judges we read the story of Samson and Delilah.
If you have read the story you may remember that Samson had superhuman strength, and his enemies, the Phillistines wanted to know the secret of his strength.
So they made a plan with Delilah to entice Samson to reveal the reason for his strength, and Samson finally told her that it was his long hair.
When she shaved off his hair as he was sleeping, Samson lost his strength and when the Phillistines came to attack him he was too weak to fight and they blinded him
and threw him in prison. Then during a party they were having one night they brought him out to make sport of him and he prayed to the Lord for strength to avenge what they had done to him.

And Samson called unto the LORD, and said,
O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee,
and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God,
that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

If you would like, you can read the rest of the story in Judges chapter 16 to find out
what happened to Samson after he prayed this prayer.)

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might.

May the LORD bless you with His help and strength in your time of need this week as you memorize His precious word.

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Jude 1:20-21

This Week’s Memory Verse:  Jude 1:20-21 NKJV
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith,
praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God,
looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

This Week’s Message:
In this Week’s Memory Verse Jude is speaking to believers, reminding them to remain in the true faith of which they had first been taught because, he is saying, False Teachers have crept in among them, people who are not true believers, but who say they are, and who are causing many to go astray from the truth.

In this week’s verse Jude is telling true believers to build themselves up
(strengthen their belief in order to stand strong) in the most holy faith (the true faith of which they had first been taught).

He is telling them to:

  • pray in the Holy Spirit
(praying in the Spirit strengthens and uplifts believers–it is also an effective tool in warfare)
  • keep themselves in the love of God
( stay true to the One True God, be obedient to Him, read His word, follow His teaching, so as not be led astray by false teaching)
  • look for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life
(look for the return of Christ who is our Savior and soon coming King in whom we have the hope of eternal life)
(Please take note—Jude is speaking of the Trinity here–Holy Spirit, God, Jesus Christ.)

So, this week let’s memorize this verse as a reminder to ourselves, as true believers, of what we should be doing daily.

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might.

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Joshua 1:9

This Week’s Verse: Joshua 1:9 NKJV
Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

This Week’s Message:
Three times the LORD told Joshua to be strong and of good courage. Moses had just died and Joshua was to take over leading the people of Israel.
The LORD knew Joshua would be feeling unsure, perhaps a bit frightened at this great task. The LORD wanted to ensure Joshua that he could do this because the LORD Himself was going to be with him night and day where ever he was, the LORD would be there helping him, telling him what to do.
And so, as Joshua believed, and trusted, he led the people as the LORD told him and he saw the power of the LORD come to pass.

The LORD God has told us believers the same thing. He has told us He would be with us always. He has told us His Holy Spirit is within us. He has told us not to fear,
but to trust Him in all things. As we believe Him and do as He says we see His hand at work in our lives just as Joshua did.

Memorize this verse as a reminder to be strong, be courageous, and to not be afraid or dismayed, for if you are a believer, the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Jonah 2:9

This Week’s Memory Verse: Jonah 2:9 NKJV
But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving;
I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.”

This Week’s Message:
Jonah was in repentance for his disobedience to the LORD. He had deliberately disobeyed what the LORD had told him to do and then paid the consequence for his actions.
When he was in the belly of the fish that the LORD had sent to save him from drowning he repented of his disobedience and offered a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD for saving him and he also vowed to the LORD that he would obey in the future, for he acknowledged that his salvation was of the LORD.

We can all learn from the story of Jonah that obedience to the LORD is always necessary. And, by memorizing this week’s verse we can remind ourselves that if the LORD tells us to do something, we had best obey and do it, for otherwise we may not only jeopardize our life but we may also endanger others.
Therefore, this week let’s offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD
for His Salvation and let’s  be sure to be obedient to whatever He has told us to do.

Also, we must always be careful in making vows to the LORD, for He does not take what we vow lightly.
He loves us with an everlasting love and He will discipline us if need be to keep us from going astray. So, this verse gives us plenty of food for thought this week.

As we memorize this verse, it would do us all well to read or re-read the book of Jonah, for there are some valuable lessons we can all learn from this short book.
It will be good to share this Jonah story with others who have never read it or heard about it for as we see in the story, the LORD even used Jonah’s disobedience and consequences to cause unbelievers to come to know Him and to call upon Him.

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might

Blessings to you this week as you memorize the word of the LORD, obey what He is telling you through it, and share it with others.

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–3 John 1:11

This Week’s Memory Verse: 3 John 1:11 NKJV
He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.

This Week’s Message:
This week’s verse is pretty straightforward–it is speaking of the difference between good and evil in those who know God and those who don’t know Him.
The word “seen” is “horaō” in Greek which is a verb which means: to know or to become acquainted with by experience

The word “good” is “agathos” in Greek which means:
of good nature–useful–pleasant, agreeable, joyful, happy–excellent–upright, honourable   All these things are of God.

The word “evil” is “kakos” in Greek which means:
of a bad nature–not such as it ought to be–of a mode of thinking, feeling, acting base, wrong, wicked, troublesome, injurious, pernicious, destructive, baneful.
All these things are done by those who do not know God or who have not become acquainted with Him by experience

Believers, we should be doing good things naturally because we have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Anytime evil thoughts come into our minds or we are tempted to do evil actions we can immediately know these things are not of God and we should cast them out of our lives. Satan might try to influence us to do these wrong things, but we have the power of the Holy Spirit within us to refuse and resist him.,
James 4:7 says: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

So, this week let’s memorize this verse as a reminder to ourselves to do good daily and also to pray for those who don’t—for as this verse tells us, they need to know God
and we believers are the ones who can share Him with them.

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might

Blessings to you daily

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–2 John 1:9

This Week’s Memory Verse: 2 John 1:9 NKJV
Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

This Week’s Message:
To “transgress” means to neglect, turn aside from or abandon trust in. “Doctrine” means teachings and “Abide” means to dwell in or walk with.
This verse is telling us then that those who neglect to walk in the teachings of Christ do not have God, but those who do have both the Father and the Son.
The New Living Bible translates the verse this way:
Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God.
But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son.

Believers, this is a very straightforward verse. It shows us once again that there is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ.
It is a good reminder to us to examine ourselves daily in order to make sure we are abiding in Christ’s doctrine.
It is also a very sad verse in that there might be many we know who are not, either because they refuse to believe or because they have have turned away.

Let’s memorize this verse and use it this week as we are led to, either as a reminder to ourselves or to share with others.

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might see it.

Blessings to you daily as you walk with Him and memorize His word.

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–1 John 5:11

This Week’s Memory Verse:
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 1 John 5:11 NKJV

This Week’s Message:
“And this is the testimony” John says “that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son”

John, one of the disciples who walked and talked with Jesus here on earth, is sharing his testimony. He is saying that in Jesus we have eternal life.

We all have a choice to believe this as truth and receive Jesus as our Savior, or we can reject this and choose to believe there is some other way to eternal life.
All of us have free will. All of us need to make the choice before we die.
The scriptures are very clear that Jesus is the only Way to eternal life.
It is God’s hope that all would believe this truth and receive eternal life in His Son, however some choose not to.

This week let’s memorize this verse and rejoice that we who believe have received eternal life in Jesus.
Let’s also share this verse with others so they may have the chance to hear the truth and to choose eternal life.
Let’s also pray for those who hear and choose not to believe, that they may make the right choice before it’s too late.

Blessings to you as you memorize His word and walk with Him daily.
