God’s Love Scripture Memorization

This Week’s Memory Verse:  Ephesians 2:4-5
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)

“But God,”…  there are quite a few scripture verses that begin with “But God” what they are showing us is that no matter what the situation God can bring good out of it.
In this week’s verse we see His rich mercy and great saving love for us even when we were dead in our sins, how wonderful is that love He had and still has towards us!

In these five weeks together we have seen through scripture the many ways God loves us and as John said:  “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us.  God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him”
1John 4:16 ESV

God’s Love Scripture Memorization

This Week’s Memory Verse:
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:10 KJV

God’s Love is what great love is.  His love for us is so great that He sent His Son to die for for the sins of mankind in order that mankind might be able to be reconciled to Him and have a close, personal relationship as they once had in the Garden of Eden.
(And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:2 KJV)

Propitiation means: atonement, appeasement, reconciliation, conciliation, payment, recompense, remedy, remission, retribution, etc. etc.–which means Christ’s death was the payment for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for sins of the whole world.

Those who choose to believe this and accept Christ as their Savior are cleansed and forgiven for their sins because of Christ’s propitiation,  those who do not, who reject Christ as the atonement, will die in their sins–there is no other way that mankind can be set free from sin, otherwise if there was, why would God have sent His only Son to suffer and die for sin?

It is a choice we all have to make, and those of us who have chosen to believe and receive are most blessed to have that close personal relationship with God the Father, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit  who resides within us. Amen!!??

Memorize this verse and think upon it daily.  Rejoice in God’s great love, give thanks for Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, and share this verse with others you know who do not yet know about the great love of God.

Scripture Memorization–Enduring To The End–Week 7

This Week’s Memory Verse:
“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” Matthew 24:24 NKJV

This week we are memorizing the words of Christ regarding the end times.  He is telling us what to look for.  He is warning us ahead of time so we will know what to expect.
He says in Matthew 24:25:  “Behold, I have told you before.”
In other words, He is saying we have been warned, He has told us ahead of time what deceptions will be coming forth so that we can prepare ourselves.

We believers are God’s elect and the devil and his demons will be doing their best to do everything they can to deceive us in these end times, but if we stay alert, and remember what Christ has told us, stand firm in His word to us, pray, believe and obey, then we won’t be deceived

Memorize this verse as a reminder to yourself so when you see or hear these things happening, so you won’t be deceived..

Scripture Memorization–Enduring To The End–Week 3

This Week’s Memory Verse:
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 NKJV

In John chapter 10 Jesus was telling the people who He was. He said He was the Door, the Good Shepherd, the Christ and even said He was God (John 10:30). He said He came into the world to bring life to His sheep, a more abundant life.

He also told them who He wasn’t. He spoke about the thief who is just the opposite of Him.  The thief is often thought to be satan, but it could also be the world or the flesh, anything that steals, kills and destroys.

Therefore, this is a good end times verse to memorize, for there are, and will be times, when we need to remember that we have an enemy, but that we also have a Savior who came to give us abundant life here on earth and eternally. He is our Door, our Good Shepherd, Christ the Messiah, our Savior, and God Incarnate. Son of God and Son of Man. We need to focus on what we have been given in Christ and not let the
thief steal our joy, kill our witness or destroy our faith.

Let’s read John 10:10 this week and give thanks that we are His sheep who know His voice and look forward to His soon return.

Scripture Memorization–Enduring To The End–Week 2

This Week’s Memory Verse:
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Romans 12:12 NIV

In Romans chapter 12, Paul is beseeching the brethren to offer themselves fully to the service of God, meaning he is earnestly telling the believers in Christ that this is something they should be doing considering the mercy God has shown them by sending His Son Jesus to bring them the gift of salvation.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
Romans 12:2 NKJV
He is telling them basically to serve God daily with their whole heart, mind, soul and body, being joyful in the hope of Christ’s return, not living for the present world but renewing their minds daily with the word of God. Living daily in the will of God, not their own will.  They should live as one body with one another, having one mind in Christ, patient in their afflictions and faithful in prayer.

This is still how we believers should be living daily.  We should be living out the words in Romans chapter 12.  This is how we can serve God, stand firm in our faith, and endure these end time trials.

There are many great verses in this chapter we could memorize, but I thought Romans 12:12 was kind of a short summary and it would be easy for us to memorize. It is a good reminder for us how we should be living daily. If we not only memorize it, but also do it daily, we will be serving God as we build ourselves up in faith and endurance for these end times that we are living in.

I would suggest that you also take the time to read the whole chapter of Romans 12 for there are many good things that Paul is beseeching the brethren (which is us as well) to do, and we can certainly benefit from it.

Scripture Memorization–Enduring To The End–Week 1

Jesus said in Matthew Chapter 24 that the end times would be difficult and troubling.  He said that believers would need endurance and faith in order to get through each day.
Therefore, we need to build ourselves up spiritually in order that we might be able to stand strong and not waver in our faith, now and in the days to come.  Jesus said He would never leave us, nor forsake us, so we can be sure that He will always be near to help us and strengthen us, but we need to do all we can to ready ourselves to face these end time days so that we can continue doing God’s will and following our calling everyday until He calls us home.

I think right now we are in the end times and therefore we need to fortify our minds with scripture as much as possible.  We need to memorize verses which will help us in our times of need so that our faith will not fail.  We need to stay spiritually strong to fight off the enemy”s attacks against our minds.  We need to stand firm in faith and share the gospel whenever and wherever we can.  Therefore, we need to be equipped.  Our minds need to be filled with God’s word.  Our hearts need to be full of faith.  We need to prepare ourselves daily in order to endure to the end.

This Week’s Memory Verse is:  Psalm 34:7
The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him,
And delivers them.

Therefore, memorize this verse to keep yourself strong in the faith daily.

To make your memorization easier, you might want print out this verse and put it someplace where you will see it daily in order to help you keep it in your mind and heart.  Just click on the Memory Verse Card below to print.

A Precious Promise: Everlasting Life

This Week’s Memory Verse:
A Precious Promise: EVERLASTING LIFE
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” –Jesus (John 6:47 KJV)

This Week’s Message:
This week’s scripture is the wonderful promise of everlasting life, spoken by Jesus, to those who believe on Him!

To believe “on” someone means to put all your faith, hope and trust on them for whatever they are promising, in this case it would be believing on Jesus to receive everlasting life.

I chose this week, to memorize the King James version of this scripture, because the other translations, to me, do not have the same exact meaning as the KJV.

The New King James version says believes “in me”, and it does not quite have the same meaning as believing “on me” in my opinion.
You can believe in someone, yet might not really believe on them.
Just a bit different thought for me on this subject, so that is why I am choosing to memorize the KJV version for this verse.

The other bible translations say “he who believes” and to me that is too vague. I think Jeus words were specific: “he that believes on Me has everlasting life.”

So, this week let’s memorize the KJV version and truly believe on Jesus for everlasting life, but also believe in Him as well.

Blessings to you all as you memorize God’s word!

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization: Philippians 4:13

This Week’s Memory Verse: Philippians 4:13 KJV
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

This Week’s Message:
This week’s verse is one of my very favorites and one which I had memorized years ago and have often called it to mind whenever I felt the need for strength.
I have spoken it aloud, prayed it, and shared it with others. It is one of those basic go to verses that all of us will need to have in our mind and heart in order that we might call it quickly to mind whenever and whatever the need.
Paul says in the preceding verse: “I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.” Philippians 4:12 (NLT)  Paul had learned to be content in any situation he was in because Christ gave him the strength to do so.

Hebrews 13:8 says: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Therefore, since Christ is the same today as He was in Paul’s time, we can be sure that Christ will strengthen us just as He did Paul.

Memorize this verse so you can carry it in your mind and heart as a reminder to you that you can do anything through Christ.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.  It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might benefit from it also.

Blessings to you as you do all things through Christ you strengthens you this week and always.

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization–2 Peter 3:9

This Week’s Memory Verse: 2 Peter 3:9 KJV
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

This Week’s Message:
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise—the Lord has promised there will be a time that Christ will return and there will be a day of judgement–He has an appointed time that this will happen and it will happen at that time, not sooner–not later.
The Lord is not slow, He is not delaying the time, He is not tarrying—-what He is doing is being longsuffering or very patient, because He does not
want anyone to perish (die in sin) but He wants all people to repent and come to be saved.
He set the time long ago to give everyone a chance for salvation but when that time arrives He will not extend it.
That is why in 2 Corinthians 6:2 it says “…behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation”
No one should wait to repent of their sins and accept Christ as their Savior, because no one knows how much time they have.

Memorize this verse and share it with those you know who are lost, let them know that they need to repent and believe and receive Christ now before it is too late.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might benefit from it also.

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization–1 Peter 3:18

This Week’s Memory Verse: 1 Peter 3:18 KJV
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

This Week’s Message:
The Bible’s New Living Translation says it this way: Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God.
He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.

Believers, we know that Christ has brought us to God and He has given us new life in the Spirit, this verse explains it very well. Let’s memorize this verse and use it to share with those who don’t know this and this is another Trinity verse that we can share also.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might benefit from it also.

As you memorize and share this week, also remember to praise Christ for what He did to bring us to God and give thanks for His Spirit who has also quickened us to new life in Him for all eternity.

Blessings to you daily,

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Leviticus 26:12

This Week’s Memory Verse: Leviticus 26:12 KJV
And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

This Week’s Message:
God was reminding the Israelites of the Blessings of Obedience. He was telling them to remember it was Him who brought them out of Egypt and reminding them of His Commandments and the importance of always obeying Him and honoring Him. He told them if they did He would walk among them and be their God, and they would be His people. He would dwell with them in the Tabernacle and would go where
ever they journeyed. He would bless them and provide for them. They would have a close personal relationship with each other. The choice was theirs, Him or the World, unfortunately their fleshly desires always seemed to lead them astray and they were never able to obey. That is why Christ had to come to fulfill the Law and bring those who believe in Him into a right relationship with God.

To me, this verse seems to be the promise of of what we believers have in Christ, for His Holy Spirit lives within us and is with us always and in Christ we can have a close personal relationship with God and receive His many blessings, peace, protection, and provision.

So, let’s memorize this beautiful, encouraging verse this week. Let’s give thanks that we are God’s people and that His Spirit dwells within us because of Christ.
Then, let’s walk and talk with God daily as His people.

If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might.

A to Z–Book by Book-Scripture Memorization–James 1:17

This Week’s Memory Verse: James 1:17 NKJV
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

This Week’s Message:
Many people this past week celebrated Christmas, a day set aside to honor Christ’s birth, our Savior, God’s good and perfect gift to mankind.
It was a time of gift giving, lights, and rejoicing.
Now, as we enter the New Year, let us reflect on this good and perfect gift we have received from the Father of lights. Let us give thanks and praise to Him who never changes. Let us rejoice that we are Children of the Light!

For: “While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.” “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:”  (John 12:36 and Ephesians 5:8)

This Week’s Memory Verse: Galatians 2:20 NKJV
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me”

This Week’s Message:
Believers, this is an excellent verse for us to memorize and repeat to ourselves daily.
We need to be reminded of Christ’s wonderful love for us and what He did for us.
We need to be reminded who we are in Christ and how we are to live.

Fear Not Scripture–Genesis 26:24

Genesis 26:24This Week’s Scripture:
And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake. Genesis 26:24 KJV

This Week’s Message:
In this verse we see the LORD having a conversation with Isaac, the son of Abraham.

The LORD (Jehovah=One True God)–I AM–The God of Abraham–Says:
“Fear Not”

Why?–Because of His Covenant Promise He says: “I am with thee, I will bless thee, I will multiply thy seed”
The LORD is telling Isaac that He is his provider and protector in the present and in the future.
He is guaranteeing Isaac that He remembers His Covenant that He made with Abraham and that He intends to keep His promise.

Well, believers, in Christ we can claim this verse for ourselves because Galatians 3:29 says:

“And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Therefore, let’s memorize this verse and claim it’s goodness.
For in Christ, the LORD is our God, He is with us, He will bless us, and He will multiply our seed as well.

Give Him thanks and praise, for who He is! And give thanks and praise for who we are in Christ!

No Fear Scripture–Genesis 15:1

No Fear In our uncertain world we often see or hear things that can cause us to become fearful or anxious.
Yet, all through scripture we see God telling us not to fear or not to be afraid.
Let’s memorize some of those scriptures so that we can call them to mind in our time of need, and encourage ourselves that God is always near and we have no need to fear.

This Week’s Scripture:
Genesis 15:1“Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.”  Genesis 15:1 KJV

This Week’s Message:
God was telling Abram not to be afraid because He, God, was Abram’s shield and exceeding great reward. A shield protects. An exceeding great reward encourages and uplifts.
God was telling Abram to have no fear because He, God, was everything Abram needed.

I believe God is saying the same to all of us who believe.
Many times scripture says God is our shield and He that will reward those who trust in Him.

Let’s memorize this verse as a reminder to ourselves to “Fear Not”, for in Christ, God is our shield and heaven is our exceeding great reward.

Nuggets of Truth–Scripture Memory Verse–S

Gold Letter SThis Week’s Memory Verse:
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. ” –Jesus [Matthew 6:33 NKJV]

This Week’s Message:
In the verses previous to this verse Jesus was talking about worrying. He was telling the people not to worry about material things, like clothes and food.
He was telling them to look at the nature around them and see how God provided for the birds and the flowers. He was saying we should first seek God’s way and will for our lives
and if we do, then God will take care of us, just as He does with the birds and flowers, yet even more so because we are even more precious to Him.

When I think of God’s kingdom and righteousness, I immediately think of Christ, for Jesus is the righteousness of God and He is the Messiah who is coming back to rule and reign someday soon.

So believers, let’s memorize this verse to remind ourselves daily to “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” and then we shall not need to worry about anything.

Blessings to you daily.
