A Precious Promise about: REWARD
“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” –Jesus
Matthew 5:11,12 NKJV
This Week’s Message:
The word Blessed is makários in Greek. It means exactly what it says--blessed, happy, fortunate.
I am sure there have been times we have shared our faith, or stood firm in our beliefs that we have not felt fortunate, nor blessed.
Under persecution one does not normally feel happy, yet Jesus is telling us we should be exceedingly glad, even rejoicing!
Yes, Jesus is saying anytime we are reviled, persecuted or falsely accused for our beliefs in Him, we will be rewarded for it in heaven.
Isn’t that a wonderful promise to cling to! Therefore, let’s keep this in our minds whenever we might be suffering in some way for our faith.
Let’s memorize this verse to remind ourselves to stand for the faith and share the truth daily, no matter what, for someday we will be rewarded for it in heaven!
Then, when the world is rejecting us, we can rejoice! When we are falsely accused for sharing the truths of scripture, we can be exceedingly glad!
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. 1 Peter 5:4 KJV
Blessings to you daily.

This Week’s Memory Verse: Ruth 2:12 KJV
The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.
This Week’s Message:
This week’s verse is what Boaz, an Israelite, spoke to Ruth, who was a foreigner in his land. It is a Blessing he bestowed upon Ruth because of her actions.
Ruth was a Moabite, not an Israelite. She was of a people whose lifestyle was very different than the Israelites.
After Ruth lost her husband, who was one of Naomi’s sons, she chose to leave her country, her family, her friends and her people and go with Naomi, her Israelite mother-in-law, to help her and protect her on a journey to a new land, among people whom she did not know, people who worshiped and believed in a God she did not know.
Ruth showed genuine compassion and love for her mother-in-law and chose to trust in God because she saw and admired the faith of Naomi and the Israelite people. Boaz saw this quality in her and chose to bless her because of it.
Let’s memorize this verse this week as a reminder to challenge ourselves to live our life as Ruth did. Selfless, Humble, Compassionate, Loving and Trusting.
As we live out our faith daily, others will see and admire these qualities in us, God will be glorified, and we will be blessed.
If you would like you can Print the memory verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision. It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might benefit from it also.
Have a wonderful week walking in faith, love. and trust daily.
