A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Jonah 2:9

This Week’s Memory Verse: Jonah 2:9 NKJV
But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving;
I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.”

This Week’s Message:
Jonah was in repentance for his disobedience to the LORD. He had deliberately disobeyed what the LORD had told him to do and then paid the consequence for his actions.
When he was in the belly of the fish that the LORD had sent to save him from drowning he repented of his disobedience and offered a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD for saving him and he also vowed to the LORD that he would obey in the future, for he acknowledged that his salvation was of the LORD.

We can all learn from the story of Jonah that obedience to the LORD is always necessary. And, by memorizing this week’s verse we can remind ourselves that if the LORD tells us to do something, we had best obey and do it, for otherwise we may not only jeopardize our life but we may also endanger others.
Therefore, this week let’s offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD
for His Salvation and let’s  be sure to be obedient to whatever He has told us to do.

Also, we must always be careful in making vows to the LORD, for He does not take what we vow lightly.
He loves us with an everlasting love and He will discipline us if need be to keep us from going astray. So, this verse gives us plenty of food for thought this week.

As we memorize this verse, it would do us all well to read or re-read the book of Jonah, for there are some valuable lessons we can all learn from this short book.
It will be good to share this Jonah story with others who have never read it or heard about it for as we see in the story, the LORD even used Jonah’s disobedience and consequences to cause unbelievers to come to know Him and to call upon Him.

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might

Blessings to you this week as you memorize the word of the LORD, obey what He is telling you through it, and share it with others.

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–3 John 1:11

This Week’s Memory Verse: 3 John 1:11 NKJV
He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.

This Week’s Message:
This week’s verse is pretty straightforward–it is speaking of the difference between good and evil in those who know God and those who don’t know Him.
The word “seen” is “horaō” in Greek which is a verb which means: to know or to become acquainted with by experience

The word “good” is “agathos” in Greek which means:
of good nature–useful–pleasant, agreeable, joyful, happy–excellent–upright, honourable   All these things are of God.

The word “evil” is “kakos” in Greek which means:
of a bad nature–not such as it ought to be–of a mode of thinking, feeling, acting base, wrong, wicked, troublesome, injurious, pernicious, destructive, baneful.
All these things are done by those who do not know God or who have not become acquainted with Him by experience

Believers, we should be doing good things naturally because we have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Anytime evil thoughts come into our minds or we are tempted to do evil actions we can immediately know these things are not of God and we should cast them out of our lives. Satan might try to influence us to do these wrong things, but we have the power of the Holy Spirit within us to refuse and resist him.,
James 4:7 says: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

So, this week let’s memorize this verse as a reminder to ourselves to do good daily and also to pray for those who don’t—for as this verse tells us, they need to know God
and we believers are the ones who can share Him with them.

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–2 John 1:9

This Week’s Memory Verse: 2 John 1:9 NKJV
Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

This Week’s Message:
To “transgress” means to neglect, turn aside from or abandon trust in. “Doctrine” means teachings and “Abide” means to dwell in or walk with.
This verse is telling us then that those who neglect to walk in the teachings of Christ do not have God, but those who do have both the Father and the Son.
The New Living Bible translates the verse this way:
Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God.
But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son.

Believers, this is a very straightforward verse. It shows us once again that there is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ.
It is a good reminder to us to examine ourselves daily in order to make sure we are abiding in Christ’s doctrine.
It is also a very sad verse in that there might be many we know who are not, either because they refuse to believe or because they have have turned away.

Let’s memorize this verse and use it this week as we are led to, either as a reminder to ourselves or to share with others.

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might see it.

Blessings to you daily as you walk with Him and memorize His word.

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–1 John 5:11

This Week’s Memory Verse:
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 1 John 5:11 NKJV

This Week’s Message:
“And this is the testimony” John says “that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son”

John, one of the disciples who walked and talked with Jesus here on earth, is sharing his testimony. He is saying that in Jesus we have eternal life.

We all have a choice to believe this as truth and receive Jesus as our Savior, or we can reject this and choose to believe there is some other way to eternal life.
All of us have free will. All of us need to make the choice before we die.
The scriptures are very clear that Jesus is the only Way to eternal life.
It is God’s hope that all would believe this truth and receive eternal life in His Son, however some choose not to.

This week let’s memorize this verse and rejoice that we who believe have received eternal life in Jesus.
Let’s also share this verse with others so they may have the chance to hear the truth and to choose eternal life.
Let’s also pray for those who hear and choose not to believe, that they may make the right choice before it’s too late.

Blessings to you as you memorize His word and walk with Him daily.

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Jeremiah 10:10

This Week’s Memory Verse: Jeremiah 10:10 NKJV
But the LORD is the true God;
He is the living God and the everlasting King,
At His wrath the earth will tremble,
And the nations will not be able to endure His indignation.

This Week’s Message:
This Week’s verse contains four of the many Names of God that are found in scripture. Memorizing this verse will help to remind us what a great and wonderful God we have.
The LORD is the true God, He is the living God and the everlasting King. Reciting this verse out loud or even to yourself quietly every day will surely be a blessing.
Speak it out as a declaration as you pray. Praise Him by using each of His names. All these will help you memorize but will also bring Him glory.

The last sentence of the verse show us that God is in control of all things. That someday those who choose to reject Him will feel His wrath. This sentence should cause us to pray for the lost that they will see the truth and believe before the time of His wrath comes. It should also cause us to witness whenever we can and share the gospel with all we meet.

,,,let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;

This Week’s Message:
Faith, that is what the book of Hebrews is all about. Over and over it tells us about the importance of faith and the strong faith of those who have gone before us.
Our verses this week remind us to continue in the faith, by laying aside our earthly burdens and temptations that could cause us to turn aside or give up.
We are encouraged to run through this life with endurance, looking unto Jesus, for He is perfect example of faith. He is our strength and hope.
If we keep our eyes on Him, our faith will not fail for He will help us and we will finish our life as a winner,

Let’s memorize these verses as a reminder to ourselves daily to continue in the faith for the world, flesh and devil will try to cause us to fail.

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Haggai 1;5 and 1:7

This Week’s Memory Verses: Haggai 1:5 and 1:7 NKJV
Now therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts: “Consider your ways!
Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Consider your ways!

This Week’s Message:
This week we have two verses to memorize, but they are very short, very much the same, and very important, because when the LORD says something more than once, it is wise to take notice!

In these verses we hear the LORD of hosts speaking to the Jews who had returned to their land after their exile in Babylon. Right after they returned they had begun work to rebuild the Temple that had been destroyed, however, after sixteen years they had not completed the work because they had been letting their personal affairs interfere with doing God’s work.
They had been putting off working, saying it wasn’t the right time, that they would do it later, etc. But now, the time came that the LORD began to sternly remind them thru the prophet Haggai that they needed to start putting God’s work first and finish what they had started.

These verses are a good reminder to us believers, in that Jesus left us with a job to do also. In Mark 16:15 Jesus said: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
This has often been called “The Great Commission” to believers. Perhaps it is time for us to “Consider our ways”. Have we been sharing the gospel as we should or have we been putting it off for a “better time”?  Have we said ” I will speak to so and so about Christ, but now is just not the right time to do so.” ? If so, we need to stop and  “Consider our ways” and begin doing the LORD’s work as we have been told.

Memorize this verse as a reminder to yourself daily to share the gospel with all you meet. Let’s busy ourselves with building the LORD’s Kingdom daily, for this is the most important work we can do!

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.

and he will make me to walk (lead, guide, enable me to tread) upon mine high places.(my mountains, my battlefields,)

A to Z–Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Ezra 8:22

This Week’s Memory Verse: Ezra 8:22 NKJV
“The hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him.”

This Week’s Message:
Believers, we who seek Him, God’s hand is upon us for good. This is a comforting thought and one which we should remind ourselves of often.
God loves us. He continually is bringing us good. We are never alone for His hand is always upon us.
Therefore, we should rejoice and give thanks in that daily as we walk through this world.
Also, we should pray daily for those who don’t know Him, or seek Him. We should pray for those who reject and forsake Him, for their choice will not end up good for them.
God does not want anyone to perish, but He is a just God and cannot bless those who do not seek Him.

Therefore, memorize this verse as a reminder to:

  • give thanks that God’s hand is upon you,
  • give thanks for the good He brings into your life,
  • continue to seek God daily
  • pray for those who don’t know Him or seek Him.

A to Z Book by Book Scripture Memorization–Ezekiel 12:25

This Week’s Memory Verse: Ezekiel 12:25 NKJV
“For I am the LORD. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass;….”

This Week’s Message:
This week’s memory verse comes from the book of Ezekiel, the book of which tells of God’s anger and judgment upon Israel, Jerusalem and the Nations.
Ezekiel, is called to be God’s prophet, to speak God’s words to a rebellious people. Many times throughout this book we read ” Thus says the Lord God”.

God’s word is powerful, When God speaks His words create. When God speaks His word always comes to pass. We can trust in God’s word, it is always true.
This week’s verse was spoken to Ezekiel to give to the people of Israel, but it is a verse that we, God’s people, can claim for ourselves this day, for any word God speaks
is true and relevant.

Therefore, memorize this verse, ponder it and consider if God has spoken a word to you recently or in the past. If what He spoke has not yet come to pass in your life,
trust that it will, for this verse tells us that what God speaks “will come to pass”. Also, know that what God has spoken throughout His word the Bible will all come to pass
in His perfect timing.

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your refrigerator, bathroom mirror, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth,
Before the difficult days come,
And the years draw near when you say, “I have no pleasure in them”:

This Week’s Message:
I would imagine that all of you memorizing scripture with me are believers, however, we may all be of different ages physically and of different maturity spiritually.
Yet, all of us, as long as we are living, can remember our Creator and give Him thanks daily, and try to live to honor Him and serve Him.
And, even though some of us may not be in the days of our youth. we can still memorize this verse to share it with those we know who are young.
And, if any of us are in our youth, we can memorize this verse and apply it daily to our lives now.

Remember means to think about, to be mindful of, therefore each moment of our days, whether we are young or old, should be spent remembering our Creator.
We should focus on who He is , what He does, and how much He loves us. We should spend time talking with Him, listening to Him and sharing Him with others.
Then, whether we are young or old, we will always have pleasure in our days, because they will be filled with Him.

A to Z–Book by Book–Scripture Memorization–Colossians 2:6-7

This Week’s Memory Verse: Colossians 2:6-7 ESV
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him,
rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

This Week’s Message:
As a believer, how do I “walk in Christ Jesus”?
Well, first of all, you have to acknowledge Jesus as your Lord.
He is not only your Savior, He is also your Lord, which means He is in control of your life.  So, walking in Him, would mean following Him daily, putting aside your will and doing His will.
Rooted in Him, means He is your foundation, He is your source, all you do is done through Him.
Built up in Him and established in the faith, means daily you grow stronger in the faith, because of His power and wisdom in you.
In all of this, you should abound in thanksgiving daily for what you have received in Him and who you are becoming in Him.

So, this week memorize this verse as a reminder to daily “walk in Christ Jesus the Lord”
As you do, you will be amazed at how blessed, fruitful, and joyful your life will become.

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your refrigerator, bathroom mirror, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.

A to Z–Book by Book–Scripture Memorization–2 Chronicles

This Week’s Memory Verse: 2 Chronicles 20:20 ESV
Believe in the LORD your God, and you will be established;
believe his prophets, and you will succeed.”

This Week’s Message:
This week our Memory Verse is short but powerful.  It is the words of King Jehoshaphat when he spoke to the people of Judah and Jerusalem before a big battle.  The people were afraid because their enemies were much greater than they.  However, King Jehoshaphat prayed to the LORD asking Him what they should do and the Spirit of the LORD answered him through one of the prophets in attendance.  The prophet told them that the LORD said:
Not to be afraid or dismayed at the size of their enemy, for the battle was not theirs but it was the LORD’s.
The LORD told them where the enemy would be and when and what they should do.
They were not to be afraid, not to be dismayed and not to fight!
They were to go out, stand firm, hold their position and watch what the LORD would do!
(You can read the whole account in 2Chronicles Chapter 20.)

Now, in order to be successful the King and the people had to BELIEVE!  And then they had to act on that belief.   They had to believe in the LORD God and believe in His prophet and then prove they believed by doing what the prophet said the LORD had told them.  The same holds true for us today. Let’s memorize this verse as a reminder to ourselves of the importance of prayer, belief, and action.

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your refrigerator, bathroom mirror, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might see it.

This Week’s Memory Verse: 1 Chronicles 29:10-11 ESV
Blessed are you, O LORD, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever.
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours.
Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.

This Week’s Message:
This week we have two verses that may seem to be quite a long to memorize, but I think if you try you will find they will be quite invaluable to commit to your memory.
These verses can be a rich treasure of encouragement to us believers for they specifically remind us of just Who we believe in and have a relationship with.
The LORD=Jehovah, God of Israel, our Father, Eternal God, Everlasting Father, Elohiym=One True God.  He is great, powerful, full of glory and majesty, and in Him we have victory.  He is Creator, All in All, Ruler, and of His Kingdom there will be no end!  He is the Head above all!  Let us exalt Him now!

If you would like you can Print the verse out in a card format to post to your refrigerator, bathroom mirror, car visor, or other place that would keep it in your daily vision.
It will help to remind you to memorize it as you go through your day and also could be a great tool in sharing with others who might see it.

Fear Not Scripture: Judges 6:10 KJV

Judges 6:10This Week’s Memory Verse:
And I said unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.  Judges 6:10 KJV

This Week’s Message:
Jehovah the existing One, the One True God, the God who brought you through many previous battles, trials and troubles, is speaking.
He is reminding the people of who He is. He is reminding them that He once before helped them conquer the Amorites.
He is reminding them to not fear those enemies and little gods, because He, their God is with them and for them.
He is their strength, protection and provision in the present day as He was in the past days. Yet….the people do not listen, nor obey His voice.

Is the LORD speaking to you today? Is He telling you to “fear not” ? If so, listen to His voice, believe Him and obey whatever He is telling you to do.

Memorize this verse as a reminder to “fear not” for your God is always with you.

Blessings to you as you memorize His word.

Fear Not Scripture: Joshua 10:25

Joshua 10:25This Week’s Scripture:
And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage:
Joshua 10:25 KJV

This Week’s Message:
Here we see Joshua telling the people of Israel, once again, to “Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage”

Joshua and his people of war and mighty men of valour, had previously fought and won two great battles, one of which was Jericho. because the LORD God had given victory.
Now, Joshua and his troops had defeated five more cities and their Kings, because the LORD had told Joshua He was giving them into his hand to conquer.
The LORD even listened to Joshua and made the sun and moon stand still for about a whole day. ( Read about it in Joshua 10:12 thru 10:14 )

So, Joshua again is telling the people of Israel to “Fear not” for the LORD would continue giving them victory over their enemies, as He had done, if they would remain loyal to Him and honor and obey Him.

And so shall the LORD do for us. In Christ we have the victory over sin and death and God will continue to protect, provide and give us victory over any enemy that might try to come against us, if we trust Him and obey Him daily.

Memorize this verse and “Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage” for the LORD is with you.

Fear Not Scripture: Joshua 8:1

No Fear--Joshua8-1And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed:…Joshua 8:1 KJV

Once again the LORD is saying “Fear not”. First, He was telling Moses to tell the people of Israel, then He was telling Moses to tell Joshua, and now He is telling Joshua Himself.

Joshua is now in charge, Moses is gone and Joshua is the new leader of Israel. He led the people across the Jordan River. He led them to Jericho where God caused the walls to fall down and the Israelites o conquered it. However, now, Joshua is troubled and greatly upset. He is in fear and is in dismay because his army has lost a battle, one which he thought they should have won and he is questioning God as to why. God tells him it is because some of the Israelites have been disobedient. They have sinned against God by taking things that God had forbid them to take. Joshua did not know this, but God knew, and God had not been with them when they went into battle because of it—so they lost.

Now, God is telling Joshua to find the ones who stole the goods and punish them and destroy the forbidden goods. Then, God will once again be with Israel and Joshua will lead them into victory against the enemies.

There is a lesson to learn here. It is obedience. God loves us but he requires obedience. As a just Father he will discipline those who disobey Him. Just as our parents love us, they also expect us to be obedient to them, otherwise we have to face consequences. God will never forsake His children, but He will discipline them for their own good, just as our parents would do.

Let’s think upon this and be obedient out of love and reverencere to God. For He is with us and He says “Fear Not” to us as well. He will lead us to victory if we listen to Him and do what He says.

Memorize this verse as a reminder to “Fear Not” and neither be dismayed.

Blessings to you daily as you memorize His word.

Fear Not Scripture: Deuteronomy 31:8

Deuteronomy 31:8This Week’s Scripture:  And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8 KJV

This Week’s Message:
This week’s verse is very similar to last week’s.
Last week Moses was speaking to all of Israel before they were to cross the Jordan River.
Here, in this verse, Moses is speaking to Joshua, who he has appointed to be the new leader of Israel. Joshua will be the one to lead the people across the River.

Joshua has big shoes to fill as he is replacing Moses as leader. Joshua at this point is probably getting a bit fearful, perhaps doubting his ability, and Moses sensing this, encourages him.
Moses personally calls Joshua out and reminds him in front of all Israel that he is to “Fear Not” for the LORD (Jehovah=the Supreme God) will be going before him.

In essence Moses is saying” “Don’t worry or be afraid Joshua. You can do this because the LORD is going before you into that River. The LORD (Jehovah) will be with you every step of the way.
The LORD (the Supreme God) is not going to fail you, nor forsake you. Don’t let fear overtake you. Don’t doubt. Just trust the LORD and go forth!”

Believers, are we not all leaders in some way? Are we not supposed to lead others to the LORD? Are we not supposed to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ?
Think about it. Memorize this verse and use it to encourage yourself and to perhaps encourage other leaders that you know.

Yes, the LORD is always with us. We need not fear new horizons, for He will go before us to show us the way. Let’s not fear, nor doubt. We can trust Him.

Fear Not Scripture: Deuteronomy 20:3

Deuteronomy 20:3This Week’s Scripture:
…let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; Deuteronomy 20:3 KJV

This Week’s Message:
As the Israelites are preparing to cross the Jordan into the new land that God, Jehovah, the One True God, has promised to give them, Moses is telling them, once again, not to fear their enemies for God is with them.
He is telling them not to let fear overtake them, not to be afraid, not to faint, or tremble or be terrified. He is reminding them that God is going before them to prepare the way and to fight for them.

Believers, we can learn from this. In Christ, we are God’s people and we should be applying this verse to our current situations in life. Whatever we are facing, wherever we are going, we should remember that God is with us. He is going before us to prepare the way. We should not let fear of the unknown overtake us. We should not let our hearts faint. We should not tremble, nor be terrified of our enemies, or our challenges. We should fear not and walk forward in faith, trusting in the Lord God to protect us and guide us always.

Blessings to you daily as you “Fear Not” !

Fear Not Scripture: Deuteronomy 1:21

Deuteronomy 1:21This Week’s Scripture:
Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged. Deuteronomy 1:21 KJV

This Week’s Message:
Moses was speaking to the Israelites, refreshing their memories of when he had told them what the LORD God had said for them to do.
He was reminding them that the LORD God had told them to go up and possess the land because He, the LORD God, had set it up for them to be able to take it.
Moses was saying “Remember, I told you that you should fear not and neither be discouraged, yet you did not listen and you did not obey. You rebelled and did not go because you were afraid!”

What is the LORD God telling you to do today? What is He setting before you? Is He telling you to go forth and fear not? Is He saying do not be discouraged ?
If so, do not be like the Israelites. Listen to Him, trust Him and obey Him.
Go forth believing in Him and do not fear.

Fear Not Scripture: Genesis 21:17

Genesis 21:17This Week’s Scripture:
“What ails you, Hagar?  Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.” Genesis 21:17 NKJV

This Week’s Message:
The first part of this verse says: And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven,…

This verse shows me:
First of all—God, Elohiym, the Supreme God, the Creator, heard
(perceived, regarded, listened, understood) the voice of Hagar’s child.

Second–That God didn’t just hear, He responded. He sent His angel to communicate with Hagar, the lad’s mother.

Third–It shows God’s concern, his love and compassion. He wants to let Hagar know that He is aware of what is going on in her life and in the life of her child, for the verse says: “God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.”
God wanted to let Hagar know that He knew exactly where she and her son were and that she should not be afraid for God was going to help.

Believers, isn’t this a wonderful verse for us to memorize and reflect upon? Don’t you think that each one of us could substitute our name in place of Hagar’s name in this verse?
Don’t you agree that God would also tell us that He hears our cries just as He heard the lad’s cries? And that He knows just where we are and that we should not be afraid for He will help us? For,  we are His children.

Plus, God not only hears, He sees also.  In Genesis 16:13 Hagar called Him “El-Roi–The God Who Sees Me.”

In Malachi 3:6 God says: “For I am the LORD, I change not;”—since God doesn’t change, should we not expect that He would also hear and see us today?

“Fear Not”—Our God–Elohiym says.  Are we hearing Him?

Blessings to you as you memorize His word and walk and talk with Him daily.

Nuggets of Truth–Scripture Memory Verse–Z

Gold Letter ZThis Week’s Memory Verse:
Do not let your heart envy sinners, But be zealous for the fear of the LORD all the day;
Proverbs 23:17 NKJV

This Week’s Message:
“Zealous” is not a word we hear very much nowadays, it means: ardently devoted, eager for something, actively or intensely diligent, enthusiastic or passionate about something.
and “fear of the LORD” means: a reverential awe for the One True God=Jehovah. It means to have respect for Him, not to be afraid of Him, but to reverence Him for who He is.

So, to be zealous for the fear of the LORD all the day would mean that we believers, should be ardently devoted to the LORD.
We should be in reverential awe over Him daily.

We should be actively pursuing His word, His will, His way. Our passion should be in and on the LORD, not on anything or anyone else.

Let’s memorize this verse as a daily reminder to ourselves.

Note:
This is the last memory verse in this “Nuggets of Truth” series.
Next week we will begin a new weekly memorization series–which will be announced soon.

Thank you and Blessings—L.J.  SGLY Ministry
