PEACE IN JESUS.
As you light your first and second candles of Advent, take time to ponder this verse:
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.. ” John 16:33.
In yesterday’s verse, Jesus was telling us He was giving us His Peace, something that is much better than the world can give us. He was telling us not to be troubled or afraid.
Today, He continues to tell us that in Him is peace, and that even though we are in a world full of tribulation, we should be cheerful, for He has overcome the world.
In Him, we have the victory, for He is the Prince of Peace. In Him, we have all the peace we could ever need or want.
So tonight, ponder upon these things Jesus is saying, and don’t let yourself be troubled or afraid. Claim His peace that surpasses all understanding, rest in His peace, and be joyful that He is with you always.
As the Advent candles of Hope and Peace burn bright and chase the darkness away, give thanks for the Peace and Hope you have in Jesus.
