{"id":1150,"date":"2024-01-16T00:08:23","date_gmt":"2024-01-16T08:08:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/?p=1150"},"modified":"2024-01-15T16:10:02","modified_gmt":"2024-01-16T00:10:02","slug":"p-o-w-e-r-day-16-willing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/p-o-w-e-r-day-16-willing\/","title":{"rendered":"P-O-W-E-R&#8211;Day 16&#8211;Willing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Today&#8217;s Scripture:<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>&#8220;Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share,<\/em><i>&#8221; 1<\/i>\u00a0Timothy 6:18<\/p>\n<p><strong>Today&#8217;s Thought:<\/strong><br \/>\nIn today&#8217;s scripture Paul is telling Timothy to teach some of the rich people about being rich in good works.<br \/>\nHe was saying that all believers should be willing to share what they have with others, not just worldly goods,<br \/>\nbut time and talent also. Believers should have willing hearts that are ready to do the good works that God has prepared.<br \/>\n<em>For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.<\/em> Ephesians 2:10<\/p>\n<p><strong>Today\u2019s Prayer:<\/strong><br \/>\nDear God,<br \/>\nI believe I have a willing heart to do the good works You have prepared for me to do. I want to do good.<br \/>\nI want to give and share. So, please now, show me how to do that each day. Perhaps it might only be a smile<br \/>\nor hug that I can give, but that is something good that might help someone. Maybe I could spend some time<br \/>\nwith a friend who is lonely or take someone who is in need out to lunch. Help me to look for opportunities daily<br \/>\nGod, and then when I see them, give me the strength to do them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Today&#8217;s Action:<\/strong> Willing<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be willing to give.<\/li>\n<li>Share what you can with others.<\/li>\n<li>Do good.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And remember our verse from yesterday, which is a warning from Jesus Himself:<br \/>\n<em>&#8220;Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation.
