{"id":1235,"date":"2026-02-10T00:08:08","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T08:08:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/?p=1235"},"modified":"2026-02-02T15:38:49","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T23:38:49","slug":"day-10-conversation-heart-guarded-mouth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/day-10-conversation-heart-guarded-mouth\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 10\u2014Conversation Heart&#8211;Guarded Mouth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>MOUTH MEDICINE:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips.<\/em> Psalm 141:3<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>TONGUE TALK:<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>I am sure all of us have said something we wish we hadn&#8217;t, often times unchecked words can hurt and harm, not only others but also ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>So, let&#8217;s try to remember to pray this prayer, or one like it, every day when we awaken so we can live each day better because we have mouths and hearts that are guarded by the Lord.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HEART HELP: Guarded Heart<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Lord says:<br \/>\n<em>&#8220;Pay attention, my child, to what I say.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Listen carefully.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Don&#8217;t lose sight of my words.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Let them penetrate deep within your heart, for they bring life and radiant health to anyone who discovers their meaning.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Above all else, guard your heart, for it affects everything you do.<\/em> Proverbs 4:20-23<\/p>\n<p><em>Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles.<\/em> Proverbs 21:23<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>MY PRAYER FOR TODAY:<\/u><\/strong><u><br \/>\n<\/u>Dear Lord.<br \/>\ntoday I ask You to set a guard over my mouth and my heart.<br \/>\nKeep me from saying, thinking or doing things I might wish later I had not.<br \/>\nPlease, Lord, watch over my mouth, lips, tongue and heart so that they will not cause others, me, or You any trouble.<br \/>\nThank You Lord.
