{"id":1244,"date":"2026-02-13T00:08:23","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T08:08:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/?p=1244"},"modified":"2026-02-02T15:53:33","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T23:53:33","slug":"day-13-conversation-heart-kept-tongue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/day-13-conversation-heart-kept-tongue\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 13&#8211;Conversation Heart&#8211;Kept Tongue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>MOUTH MEDICINE:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.<\/em> Psalm 34:13<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>TONGUE TALK:<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>A Kept Tongue and Lips would be those that are held in check.<br \/>\nThey are restrained from speaking things that might be harmful, untrue, morally bad, or wrong.<br \/>\nA Kept Tongue and Lips are those that are held back from saying anything that would cause pain to anyone.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>HEART HELP:<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>Don&#8217;t repay evil for evil.<br \/>\nDon&#8217;t retaliate when people say unkind things about you.<br \/>\nInstead, pay them back with a blessing.<br \/>\nThat is what God wants you to do, and He will bless you for it.<br \/>\nFor the Scriptures say:<br \/>\n<em>&#8220;If you want a happy life and good days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and keep your lips from telling lies.\u201d <\/em>1 Peter 3:9-10<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>MY PRAYER FOR TODAY:<\/u><\/strong><u><br \/>\n<\/u>Dear Lord, today I pray that I can keep my tongue and lips in check today.<br \/>\nHelp me to refrain from speaking anything that is untrue or harmful.<br \/>\nI don&#8217;t want my tongue or lips saying things that might cause pain to myself or others, so help me to restrain my tongue and hold my lips in check.<br \/>\nDear Lord, I want a happy life and good days.
