{"id":1269,"date":"2026-02-21T00:08:28","date_gmt":"2026-02-21T08:08:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/?p=1269"},"modified":"2026-02-20T20:07:17","modified_gmt":"2026-02-21T04:07:17","slug":"day-21-conversation-heart-slow-speech","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/day-21-conversation-heart-slow-speech\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 21&#8211;Conversation Heart-Slow Speech"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>MOUTH MEDICINE:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\n<em>My dear brothers and sisters, be\u00a0quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.<\/em> James 1:19<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>TONGUE TALK:<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>Speaking Slowly means stopping to think before saying anything or taking time to choose your words before speaking out.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>HEART HELP:<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong><em>Then Moses said to the LORD,<br \/>\n&#8220;O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Who makes mouths?&#8221; the LORD asked him. &#8220;Who makes people so they can speak or not speak, hear or not hear, see or not see?\u00a0 Is it not I, the LORD?<br \/>\nNow go and\u00a0do as I have told you. <\/em><em>I will help you speak well, and I will tell you what to say.&#8221;<\/em> Exodus 4:10-12<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>MY PRAYER FOR TODAY:<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>Dear God, I want to learn to speak slowly today and every day.<br \/>\nHelp me to be quick to listen but slow to speak.<br \/>\nAnd, as I listen, I pray God that I will hear Your voice telling me just what I should speak.<br \/>\nHelp me to do this especially when I begin to feel anger rising up in me, for it is then God that I really want my speech to be slow.<br \/>\nGod, You created my mouth, please show me the best way to use it at all times.<br \/>\nThank You God for Your help in this.
