{"id":172,"date":"2026-04-30T00:08:29","date_gmt":"2026-04-30T07:08:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/?p=172"},"modified":"2026-04-24T22:02:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T05:02:10","slug":"showers-of-blessings-day-30","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/showers-of-blessings-day-30\/","title":{"rendered":"Showers of Blessings\u00a0 Day 30"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Showers of Blessings\u00a0 Day 30<br \/>\n<u>Blessing: Satisfaction, Safety, True Happiness<\/u><br \/>\n<em>The fear of the LORD leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.\u00a0 Proverbs 19:23 NKJV<\/em><\/p>\n<p><u>Message:<br \/>\n<\/u>Matthew Henry\u2019s Commentary on this verse explains it so much better than I could:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSee what those that get by it that live in the fear of God, and always make conscience of their duty to him.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1. Safety: They <em>shall not be visited with evil;<\/em> they may be visited with sickness or other afflictions, but there shall be no evil in them, nothing to hurt them, because nothing to separate them <em>from the love of God,<\/em> or hurt to the soul.<\/li>\n<li>2. Satisfaction: They <em>shall abide satisfied;<\/em> they shall have those comforts which are satisfying, and shall have a constant contentment and complacency in them. It is a satisfaction which will abide, whereas all the satisfactions of sense are transient and soon gone. <em>Satur pernoctabit, non cubabit incoenatus<\/em>&#8211;<em>He shall not go supperless to bed;<\/em> he shall have that which will make him easy and be an entertainment to him in his silent and solitary hours, (Ps. 16:6, 7)<\/li>\n<li>3. True and complete happiness.
