{"id":176,"date":"2025-05-01T00:08:44","date_gmt":"2025-05-01T07:08:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/?p=176"},"modified":"2025-04-30T16:44:41","modified_gmt":"2025-04-30T23:44:41","slug":"gods-grace-day-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/gods-grace-day-1\/","title":{"rendered":"God\u2019s Grace \u00a0 Day 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>God\u2019s Grace \u00a0 Day 1<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em>But Noah\u00a0found grace in the eyes of the\u00a0Lord.\u00a0 <\/em>Genesis 6:8<\/p>\n<p><u>Message:<br \/>\n<\/u>In the days of Noah, wickedness abounded on the earth.\u00a0 Mankind continually thought and did evil in the sight of the Lord.\u00a0 They were such an abomination to the Lord that He was very grieved and was sorry He had even made them.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c\u2026the\u00a0<\/em><em>Lord<\/em><em>\u00a0saw that the wickedness of man\u00a0was\u00a0great in the earth, and\u00a0that\u00a0every\u00a0intent of the thoughts of his heart\u00a0was\u00a0only evil continually.\u00a0<strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And\u00a0the\u00a0<\/em><em>Lord<\/em><em>\u00a0was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and\u00a0He was grieved in His\u00a0heart.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 Genesis 6:5<\/p>\n<p><em>But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.<\/em>\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 Why was Noah different?\u00a0 Why did the LORD find grace (favor, acceptance) in Noah?<\/p>\n<p>Because<em>\u2026.\u00a0Noah was a righteous man [one who was just and had right standing with God], blameless in his [evil] generation; Noah walked (lived) [in habitual fellowship] with God.<br \/>\n<\/em>\u00a0Genesis 6:9 AMP<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Noah was just: righteous (in conduct and character, he did and said what was right, correct, lawful, he obeyed God in all his ways.<\/li>\n<li>Noah was perfect in his generations: He was pure, sincere and loved God. He lived his life to please and honor God.\u00a0 He wasn\u2019t spoiled by the sin and wickedness going on in the world around him.
