June 12–Heart for the Lord–Day 12–HOPEFUL HEART
\n“Therefore we do not lose heart, even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.”\u00a0 <\/em>2 Corinthians 4:16 (NKJV)<\/p>\n

Today’s Thought:<\/u>
\nAll of us are growing older day by day. Our physical bodies may be losing strength or declining in some way. However, as believers, God is at work in us helping us to grow stronger spiritually every day.\u00a0 Therefore, we need a Hopeful Heart that does not allow discouragement to grow in it, for a Hopeful Heart knows that even though physically it might be weak, spiritually it has the ability to grow stronger every day because God is constantly at work in it.<\/p>\n

A Hopeful Heart knows that what God has promised will happen because it has faith in God and His word.<\/p>\n

A Hopeful Heart has a desire that is accompanied by expectation and it lives each day excitedly waiting and watching for that which it desires.<\/p>\n

Let’s pray for a Hopeful Heart so we can live each day looking forward to what God is doing and will do in our lives and in the lives of those around us!<\/p>\n

But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.\u00a0 <\/em>Romans 8:25 [NKJV]<\/p>\n

Prayer of the Heart to the Lord:<\/u>
\nDear Lord,
\ntoday I ask that You create in me a Hopeful Heart so I can live each day in expectation of what You are now doing and what You are going to do in my life and in the lives of others around me.<\/p>\n

I pray for a Heart that is filled with Hope in You and in Your word, so each day I can look forward to claiming and receiving Your promises and blessings.<\/p>\n

I pray for a Hopeful Heart that has its focus on the inner man’s growth and not the outer man’s decline.<\/p>\n

I thank You, Lord, for the Hope that is only found in You!<\/p>\n

Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.\u00a0 <\/em>\u00a0Psalm 31:24 (NKJV)<\/p>\n
