{"id":517,"date":"2023-08-01T00:08:35","date_gmt":"2023-08-01T07:08:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/?p=517"},"modified":"2023-09-01T17:39:58","modified_gmt":"2023-09-02T00:39:58","slug":"august-1-admonish-one-another","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/august-1-admonish-one-another\/","title":{"rendered":"August 1&#8211;ADMONISH ONE ANOTHER"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;One-Anothering&#8221; is a 31-Day Devotional\u00a0 focusing on all the &#8220;one another&#8221; scriptures in the Bible.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jesus said we should &#8220;love one another&#8221; but in all, there are 25 &#8220;one another&#8221; scriptures that tell us what we should <u>DO <\/u>for one another and 6 other scriptures that tell us what we should <u>NOT DO.<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This Daily Devotional will help us to learn how to daily &#8220;one another&#8221; with each other as we focus on the Lord\u2019s word and put it into action.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I pray it will be a blessing to you and those believers with whom you interact each day.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><u>A &#8220;One Anothering&#8221; Scripture and Thought<\/u><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Now I myself am confident concerning you, my brethren, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.<\/em> Romans 15:14<\/p>\n<p>To Admonish means:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to warn<\/li>\n<li>to reprove mildly<\/li>\n<li>to exhort<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In other words, Paul says that we believers who are filled with the goodness and knowledge of God and His word should be able to warn our brothers and sisters in Christ who might be in danger of making some wrong choices. We should be able to express our disapproval or rebuke them <u>(mildly and in love)<\/u> for some actions that we know are not biblical or honoring to God. We should be able to urge them earnestly to continue in the faith and we should be able to advise them strongly about false doctrines or teachers that might lead them astray.<\/p>\n<p><u>ONE-ANOTHERING IN ACTION:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Who can you think of that you might need to admonish today?<\/p>\n<p>If you know of a brother or sister in Christ that might need admonishing, ask God to give you the wisdom and strength to know when and how you might to do this, mildly and in love.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8230;Do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.<\/em>\u00a0 2 Thess.3:15<\/p>\n<p>\u00a9SGLY Ministry www.smilegodlovesyou.org<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;One-Anothering&#8221; is a 31-Day Devotional\u00a0 focusing on all the &#8220;one another&#8221; scriptures in the Bible.
