{"id":533,"date":"2023-08-05T00:08:23","date_gmt":"2023-08-05T07:08:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/?p=533"},"modified":"2023-09-01T17:48:24","modified_gmt":"2023-09-02T00:48:24","slug":"august-5-compassion-for-one-another","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/august-5-compassion-for-one-another\/","title":{"rendered":"AUGUST 5&#8211;HAVE COMPASSION FOR ONE ANOTHER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><u>A &#8220;One Anothering&#8221; Scripture and Thought<\/u><br \/>\n<em>Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another;<\/em> 1 Peter 3:8<\/p>\n<p>Compassion means:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a feeling of deep sympathy<\/li>\n<li>sorrow for<\/li>\n<li>mercy for<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Paul says that we believers should be thinking alike and sharing in each other\u2019s sorrows.<\/p>\n<p>We should feel deep sympathy for our brothers and sisters in the Lord when they are going through difficulties.<\/p>\n<p>We should show mercy and have a strong desire to help them in some way.<\/p>\n<p><u>ONE-ANOTHERING IN ACTION:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Stop and think about someone to whom you might need to show compassion to today.<\/p>\n<p>Who comes to mind that needs some sympathy?<\/p>\n<p>If God brings someone to mind or across your path today, take the time to listen to them and encourage them.
