{"id":611,"date":"2023-08-28T00:08:01","date_gmt":"2023-08-28T07:08:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/?p=611"},"modified":"2023-09-02T10:01:15","modified_gmt":"2023-09-02T17:01:15","slug":"august-28-do-not-hate-one-another","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/august-28-do-not-hate-one-another\/","title":{"rendered":"AUGUST 28&#8211;DO NOT HATE ONE ANOTHER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><u>A &#8220;One Anothering&#8221; Scripture and Thou<br \/>\n<\/u><em>For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. <\/em>Titus 3:3<\/p>\n<p>Hate means:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to dislike intensely<\/li>\n<li>to feel extreme hostility toward<\/li>\n<li>to detest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hate is a very strong word. We don&#8217;t like to think that we might hate anyone, especially a brother or sister in Christ. Therefore, we should take this as a reminder to examine ourselves daily to make sure we are not harboring any hatred in our hearts toward anyone, especially towards our fellow believers, for a hateful attitude is part of our old nature, and it should not be a part of our new life in Christ as Titus goes on to explain in the rest of Chapter 3.<\/p>\n<p><u>ONE-ANOTHERING IN ACTION:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Today examine yourself to see if there might be any hateful thing in you.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do you find yourself intensely disliking a fellow believer?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have a feeling of extreme hostility toward someone in your church body?<\/li>\n<li>To you detest a brother or sister in Christ?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If so, use this time to repent of the hatred, ask the Lord&#8217;s forgiveness and seek His help to renew your mind and heart to a loving, forgiving attitude.<\/p>\n<p>As you do this in obedience to His word, He will change your mind and heart and bless you with His love and strength.<\/p>\n<p>Then give the situation to the Lord. Ask Him to take care of it and bring justice and healing as it is needed.<\/p>\n<p>Let Him have the burden of it, and then you will be able to walk in forgiveness and His love.<\/p>\n<p><em>Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.<\/em> Galatians 5:19-21<\/p>\n<p>\u00a9SGLY Ministry www.smilegodlovesyou.org<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A &#8220;One Anothering&#8221; Scripture and Thou For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.
