{"id":618,"date":"2023-08-29T00:08:15","date_gmt":"2023-08-29T07:08:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/?p=618"},"modified":"2023-09-02T10:02:39","modified_gmt":"2023-09-02T17:02:39","slug":"august-29-do-not-judge-one-another","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smilegodlovesyou.org\/devotionals\/august-29-do-not-judge-one-another\/","title":{"rendered":"AUGUST 29&#8211;DO NOT JUDGE ONE ANOTHER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><u>A &#8220;One Anothering&#8221; Scripture and Thought<br \/>\n<\/u><em>\u00a0Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother&#8217;s way.<\/em> Romans 14:13<\/p>\n<p>Judge means:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to infer, think, or hold as an opinion.<\/li>\n<li>to decide upon critically<\/li>\n<li>pass sentence on (a person)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Judging others or even ourselves is not something we should be doing.<\/p>\n<p>God is our Judge, and all judgements need to be left up to Him.<\/p>\n<p><u>ONE-ANOTHERING IN ACTION:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Since we don&#8217;t want to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother or sister&#8217;s way, let&#8217;s resolve each day not to decide critically upon others.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s not form opinions that could be negative towards another believer, nor pass sentence on them, for in doing so we may cause them to stumble or fall in their faith.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, we should pray about it, give it to God, and let Him be the Judge.<\/p>\n<p>Then, we can walk in love, and be ready to help others grow in their faith.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned.
