A Precious Promise: Obedience<\/u><\/strong>
\n“Therefore,\u00a0whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.”<\/em>\u00a0 (Words of Jesus) Matthew 7:24,25<\/p>\n

Thoughts:
\n<\/u><\/strong>This Promise of security and safety amidst life’s storms, is to the wise, who are everyone who hear and obey the Word of the Lord.<\/p>\n

It is for those who seek to build their lives on the solid foundation of Christ, the Rock.
\n“For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.”<\/em> 1 Corinthians 10:4<\/p>\n

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, The God of my strength, in whom I will trust.\u00a0 <\/em>2 Samuel 22:2,3<\/p>\n

Prayer: <\/u><\/strong>
\nDear God,
\nI want to live in obedience and claim this rich promise today!
\nAs I read and hear Your words, Lord God, I want to put them into practice. I want to be like that wise man who built his house on the rock. I want to build my life on Your firm foundation so when troubles come, I will be able to stand strong and be safe. \u00a0God, please help me to always focus on You and Your word so I can be obedient and claim Your promises daily. Thank You, God.
