Prince of Peace.
As you light your first and second candles of Advent, take time to ponder this verse:
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6.
If you are looking for peace in your life, come to Jesus who is the Prince of Peace, God’s Son. He will give you His peace, which is so much better than the world can give,
for He will also be your Wonderful Counselor, a Mighty God who is The Everlasting Father. He will be with you always. Just come to Him and receive His peace. Follow Him,
and He will lead you to green pastures, and still waters in peaceful valleys, where your cup will overflow with His goodness and mercy.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
Psalm 23.
As the Advent candles burn bright and chase the darkness away, ponder upon Jesus who is the Prince of Peace, the Good Shepherd, Emmanuel, God with Us, and so much more.
He is our Peace and Hope always.
