PEACE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
As you light your first and second candles of Advent, take time to ponder this verse:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22 and 23.
Peace is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. We believers in Christ have the Holy Spirit living within us, therefore we can experience peace at all times. For scripture says in 1 Corinthians 6:19:
your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God. Â
As the Advent candles of Hope and Peace burn bright and chase the darkness away, give thanks that as a believer in Christ, you have peace, for it is the fruit of the Holy Spirit who is within you.
