GOD’S LOVE.
As you light your first, second, third, and fourth candles of Advent, take time to ponder this verse:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.
God loved a world who didn’t care about Him, or love Him. He loved the world so much, that He gave His only Son to die for the world. What an amazing love!
It is hard to fathom a love like that. Our finite minds cannot fully comprehend it. But we who believe, we are the benefactors of that love. We are the whosoevers, and because of God’s love, we will have everlasting life with Him in heaven. Because of His love we will never perish! Our earthly bodies will give way to immortal, spiritual bodies, that will live forever in heaven with our God of love. Praise God!
As the Advent candles of LOVE, JOY, PEACE, and HOPE, burn bright and chase the darkness away, take time to just ponder upon God’s amazing love, and if you are one of the whosoevers that believes in Him, give Him thanks and praise for giving you everlasting life.
