CC-Day--Psalm-118.24

Dec.11-Christmas Countdown—Day 11

DAY
This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Today’s Thought:
Somedays are not all that we expect them to be.  Things may happen that upset our plans, or we get news that causes us to feel sad.
Sometimes we just have to make ourselves be glad and rejoice.  Sometimes we have to just look around at our circumstances and say: “Well, this is the day the Lord has made, and I am going to choose to rejoice and be glad, no matter what things seem or look like.”  I have had to do that, and it always has brightened my day.

  • REJOICE
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Philippians 4:4
  • BE GLAD
I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. Psalm 9:2
  • GIVE THANKS
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, His love endures forever. 1Chronicles 16:34

Today’s Action:

  • Today, rejoice and be glad that you have today! Give the Lord thanks that you are alive to experience it. Some may not have been blessed to see this day.
  • Take some time out of your busy schedule to thank God for making this day, even though it may not be all that you expected it to be.
  • Do your best to enjoy this day and take some time to look for ways to help others enjoy it too, for this day will never come again.

Remember: “Every day may not be good, but there’s something good in every day”. – Alice Morse Earle

Only 14 days left until Christmas!  Make each one count!
