A Psalms Prayer Pocket for when you are feeling: HOPELESS
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope. Psalm 130:5 (NKJV)
According to the dictionary hope is optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of a positive outcome. It is a desire or a wish for something we want to happen.
According to the Bible hope is the anticipation of a favorable outcome under God’s guidance. This contrasts to the world’s definition of hope as “a feeling that what is wanted will happen.”
Biblical hope is a confident and unwavering expectation based on the promises of God. It is rooted in trust and faith in God and His unchanging character. Therefore, we who are believers should not be feeling hopeless for in Christ we have a sure hope that God is with us always and will work all things together for good in our lives according to His plan and purpose for us.
Pocket Prayer:
Dear Lord, today I am feeling Hopeless because______________________________.(tell the Lord why you are feeling hopeless today)
But your word says:”Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.” Psalm 31:24 (NKJV)
Therefore, I pray for You to strengthen me Lord, as I wait for You to work all things together for good in my life. For You are my hope, O Lord God. Psalm 71:5 (NKJV)
Today I will place my hope in You and Your word, Lord. I will hide myself in You and renew my hope as I read and believe Your word.
I believe You will protect me as a shield against hopelessness, and You will strengthen my heart.
For, You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word. Psalm 119:114 (NKJV)
