Planting Spiritual Seeds—Day 1—Action

And He [Jesus] said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.   Mark 16:15 NKJV

Today’s Spiritual Seed is God’s word.  As we go out into our little corner of the world today let’s make it our goal to share God’s word with someone we meet today, and If we physically don’t go out into the world each day, then let’s ask God to show us some way we can share the gospel wherever we are.
Ask God to show you some creative ways He might want you to share His word with someone.  Maybe it will be in a post on Social Media or perhaps in a prayer you say at lunch or dinner, or in a text message or phone call. Be alert for ways to share and be excited to do so!  You will find this to be a blessing to your day

Try picking one of your favorite verses, write it down on a piece of paper and slip it into your pocket.  Then pray and ask God to show you who you should share the scripture verse with.

As He prompts you do so, you may find yourself scared or shy, so at that time ask God to give you the courage you need to do it.  You may be surprised at how He opens doors for you to speak it.  You might find yourself sharing it in a conversation you have at work or perhaps just giving the piece of paper to someone you meet in a store or on the street, or maybe just slipping it into a book in the library or into a pocket of a piece of clothing at a store.  There are all kinds of ways you can share.

If you speak it and it is not received as warmly as you had hoped or if it is just ignored keep in mind that God says His word will not return void, so you will have the satisfaction that you obeyed God and shared His word as He has told us believers to do, and you planted a seed that God can then nurture and cause to grow, for it is only our job to plant the seed, it is God’s job to cause it to grow.   So don’t become disheartened.  Just keep on planting!

Peach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. 2Timothy 4:2 NLT
