Planting Spiritual Seeds—Day 15—Invite
“And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God,”
Luke 12:8 ESV
Today’s Seed is: Invite
Today we will be planting our spiritual seeds in people we meet who don’t know the Lord, people we know as un-believers. Jesus is telling us in today’s verse that we need to acknowledge Him before men, therefore, we need to be prepared to do that before everyone, not just before believers, but especially before un-believers.
I can hear you gasping right now, oh no, not me, I can’t do that, I am not prepared, I don’t know what to say to them, I am not trained in evangelism, how can I possibly invite someone to know the Lord!
Well, it is not really that hard. First of all, you need to pray about it. So this morning before you go out into the world pray and ask God to show you who He would like you to invite into His kingdom and how He wants you to go about it.
Ask Him to give you the words to say and the courage to speak them.
Then, as you wait for His answer prepare yourself by making sure you have materials on hand that you might need, for instance, a bible in your car or on your phone, tracts on salvation or favorite scriptures on salvation written down and refresh yourself on your testimony of how you came to Christ. Then, go out into the world with an expectant heart, looking forward to any divine appointment God may bring you to. Remember, if God brings you to it, He will give you the strength and wisdom to do it, just trust Him.
