Planting Spiritual Seeds—Day 22-Refresh-Renew-Restore

…that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.  Acts 3:20-21 ESV

Today’s Seeds are:  Refresh-Renew-Restore

Someday Jesus will return and restore all things as God originally meant them to be, but until that time, that God only knows, we should be going about doing the Lord’s work.

Today we have three different kinds of seeds to plant, although they are quite similar.  We will be refreshing seeds that were planted but need watering.  Renewing seeds that may have become dormant and Restoring seeds that might have been damaged in some way.

All of these seeds need care.  They need a caregiver to come along and water them, break up their fallow ground and repair them.  That is our job today.  We need to be on the lookout for any people that cross our path today that might need our care in this way.

So get ready! Be prepared to be a caregiver today and do what is needed to refresh, renew and restore people spiritually, and then pray God’s hand will revive them.

  • God, you gave us plenty of rain. You renewed your worn-out land. Psalm 68:9 NIRV
  • You gave abundant showers, O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance.
    Psalm 68:9 NIV
  • You caused abundant rain to fall and restored your worn-out land; Psalm 68:9 GNT
