Planting Spiritual Seeds—Day 30—Wholesome
Some people may contradict our teaching, but these are the wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. These teachings promote a godly life. 1 Timothy 6:3 NLT
Today’s Seed is: Wholesome Teaching
Wholesome teaching would be teaching that is good for one’s health and wellbeing, in this case it would be teaching that is good for spiritual health and wellbeing, teaching that would promote a godly life.
I would say that we believers teach others just by how we act and speak daily.
Wholesome Behavior and Wholesome Speech promote a godly life to those around us.
- A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
Proverbs 15:4 NKJV - Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. Ephesians 4:29 NLT
- Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Philippians 4:8 NLT
Wholesome Teaching is telling others about Christ with our words and actions, but also from what we have learned through reading and studying the Bible and our own personal experiences based on what God has done for us and for others we know.
So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. Colossians 1:28 NLT
Believers are called to embody wholesomeness in every aspect of their lives. This includes being mindful of the words they speak, the actions they take, and the teachings they embrace.
By doing so, they reflect the character of Christ and serve as a positive influence in the world.
