Walk in the Law of the Lord.
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. Psalm 119:1
This verse applies to all believers in Christ since Christ fulfilled the law, and in Christ we are the undefiled because we are forgiven of all our sins and covered by the righteousness of Christ.
This verse emphasizes that blessings come to those who live in accordance with God’s laws and commandments.
Thus, we who believe in and on Christ and who follow Him, who is the fulfillment of the law, will receive blessings as we walk with Him daily. For in Him we are the undefiled because in Him we are declared righteous, and in Him we are walking in the law of the Lord.
The Amplified Bible breaks down this verse very well.
- Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied).
- are the undefiled (the upright, truly sincere, and blameless).
- in the way (of the revealed will of God).
- who walk (order their conduct and conversation).
- in the law of the Lord (the whole of God’s revealed will.).
Believers, as long as you walk in obedience to Jesus daily you will be blessed, for you will be walking in the law of the Lord.
