Walk-with-God--Leviticus-26.12

January 22—Walk with God—Leviticus 26:12

Walk with God.
I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.
  Leviticus 26:12.

God wants to walk with us.  All throughout the Old Testament He was walking with people. Scriptures tell us that Adam, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, and other prophets like Eljah and Elisha all walked with God.  In the New Testament, Jesus asked the people to “Follow Me”, and “Abide with Me”.

This shows us that God obviously wants to have a close, personal relationship with people.  He wants to walk and talk with us daily just like He did in the Garden of Eden with Adam.  He wants us to follow Him and abide with Him so He can teach us the right way to walk and live, just like Jesus did when He was on earth.
That is why He sent His Holy Spirit to dwell within us, so we can always be in close communication with Him.

If you are a believer in Christ, give thanks today that God not only walks among you, but that His Holy Spirit dwells within you, and that He will never leave you nor forsake you, for it is His greatest joy to walk with you teaching you His ways and having you follow Him on right paths daily, just as Adam, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Jacob and the Prophets did.
