Standing on the Promises: Purpose

Posted on October 24, 2025October 20, 2025 by SGLY Devotionals

A Precious Promise: Purpose
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:1

Thoughts:
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

What is “Purpose”?
Purpose means: an intent, plan, or determination.

God has a plan and a time for everything. He is in control of all things and all we need do is love Him, obey Him, and trust Him to keep His promise to fulfill His good plan and purpose for us in His time.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Prayer:
Dear God,
Dear Lord, I want You to fulfill the purpose You have for me.
Whatever plan You had for me when You created me, I pray You will bring that to fulfillment in my life.

I can pray this because I know according to Jeremiah 29:11 that You only have a good plan for me and Your purpose for me is for good and not for evil. Your purpose is to give me a future and a hope.

So, I pray, that the good You have purposed for my life will be fulfilled in Your timing, and each day I will look forward to accomplishing the plan and purpose You have for me.

Thank You God, In Jesus name I pray. Amen

May He grant you according to your heart’s desire And fulfill all your purpose. Psalm 20:4
