God’s Grace Day 1
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Genesis 6:8
Message:
In the days of Noah, wickedness abounded on the earth. Mankind continually thought and did evil in the sight of the Lord. They were such an abomination to the Lord that He was very grieved and was sorry He had even made them.
“…the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.” Genesis 6:5
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. Why? Why was Noah different? Why did the LORD find grace (favor, acceptance) in Noah?
Because…. Noah was a righteous man [one who was just and had right standing with God], blameless in his [evil] generation; Noah walked (lived) [in habitual fellowship] with God.
Genesis 6:9 AMP
- Noah was just: righteous (in conduct and character, he did and said what was right, correct, lawful, he obeyed God in all his ways.
- Noah was perfect in his generations: He was pure, sincere and loved God. He lived his life to please and honor God. He wasn’t spoiled by the sin and wickedness going on in the world around him. He kept his eyes, mind and heart on God.
- Noah walked and talked with God daily.
In this world we live in today, we too can find grace in the eyes of the LORD if we model our lives around Noah.
If we are believers in Christ and have His Holy Spirit living within us, we can indeed live righteously in Christ and in God’s grace daily.
