God’s Grace Day 21
And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6 NLT
Message:
The Amplified Bible expands on this verse to bring it to a better understanding, I think.
But He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation]. Therefore, it says, “God is opposed to the proud and haughty, but [continually] gives [the gift of] grace to the humble [who turn away from self-righteousness].” James 4:6 AMP
Verse after verse tells us that God gives us more and more grace. Isn’t it amazing! He gives us grace for salvation, then grace to defy sin, and then grace to live an obedient life!
Stay humble saints, and continually give thanks to our great God who generously supplies us with grace to meet all our needs!
