God’s Grace   Day 6

Posted on May 6, 2025May 5, 2025 by SGLY Devotionals

God’s Grace   Day 6
“We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.”  Acts 15:11 NLT

Message:
These words were spoken by Peter the apostle of Jesus Christ at the Jerusalem Council where the Jews were in conflict regarding salvation for gentiles.  They felt gentiles couldn’t be saved because they weren’t circumcised according to the law of Moses, but Peter disagreed saying that salvation comes only by grace of the Lord Jesus, not by any works or laws of man.

As Paul said in Ephesians 2:8:  “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,´ (even the faith isn’t of ourselves, it is God who gave us that also!)  Why? Because our salvation is “not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8
We didn’t earn it, we did nothing to receive it, it is a free gift given to us by God through Jesus Christ.  That is the only way we are truly saved, for if salvation could be earned, why would Jesus have had to suffer and die on the cross?

Our salvation is a gift of God, it is an undeserved favor (grace) given to us through faith in Jesus Christ, our Savior.
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,  even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
” Ephesians 2:4-5

Read the whole chapter of Ephesians 2 today.  It will be a blessing to you.
