Walk Uprightly.
Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. Proverbs 10:9.
The definition of integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles that you refuse to change. Therefore, this verse is saying whoever is honest and has strong moral principles that they refuse to change, would walk through life securely, which is a way that avoids harm, risk or danger because it is a way that walks with Jesus.
So, as we see from this verse there are two paths we can chose to walk upon, the path of integrity or the crooked path. When we walk uprightly in integrity, we can be confident in our actions, because we know we are doing right. We have no need to be fearful for we are walking in the way and truth of Christ, and this gives us a sense of peace and security.
As believers in Christ, we can walk uprightly for “This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.” Romans 3:22, and we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us to lead and guide us to all truth. How blessed we are in Christ!
He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk with integrity, Proverbs 2:7.
