Walk-Worthy--1Thessalonians-2.12

January 28—Walk Worthy—1 Thessalonians-2:12

Walk Worthy.
…  walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.1 Thessalonians 2:12.

If a King or a President called us up and invited us into his kingdom or palace, we would feel very special, wouldn’t we?   We would present ourselves as properly as possible.  We would act and dress in our best way. We would be concerned with pleasing the King or President, and act accordingly because we would want to make a good impression on them.  We would be thankful and humble that we were invited into their kingdom or palace.  Our lives would be examples of how one who is a close friend to the King or President should act.
This is how we believers should be living each day, for our Lord God has called us into His own kingdom and glory, where we will actually live with Him for eternity. We won’t just visit; we will be citizens in His kingdom. His calling is way more special than that of an earthly king or president, therefore we should feel highly honored and want to do all we can to live to please Him in all we say and do.  Therefore, each day we should be walking worthy of His calling.  Our behavior and choices should reflect His calling so that anyone who sees us knows we are a child of God who is walking in God’s will and way on our way to God’s heavenly kingdom.

Worthy walking is a lifelong journey toward the glory that awaits us someday in heaven.

…walk in a manner worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, Colossians 1:10.
