June 8–Praise Pause–El-Roi

Posted on June 8, 2025June 7, 2025 by SGLY Devotionals

Praise His Name: EL-ROI (EL-ROI means: “God who sees me”)
“Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?” Genesis 16:13 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought:
Hagar, the maid of Sarai, (who was Abraham’s wife) was fleeing from her mistress. Hagar was feeling scared and alone, but she realized that the Lord saw her and was with her. She said: ” Have I also here seen Him who sees me?”(Genesis 16:13)
She no longer felt scared, insignificant or alone, because she knew God was there with her. Today, let us pause to praise Him who sees all and sees us. No matter where we are today, He sees us, and we are not insignificant to Him. Even if no one ever seems to notice us or seems to give us the credit due us, He sees us and He will reveal Himself to us at the proper time and show us what to do in any circumstance.
So today, let’s pause to praise Him for being our EL-ROI–the God Who Sees Us!

Today’s Praise Pause:
Dear God, today I want to pause to praise You, as EL-ROI, The-God-Who-Sees-Me. I am so glad to know that I am never alone, never out of Your sight. You see all I am going through and are always near and ready to help me. That is such a comforting thought to me as I walk through this big world.
So, I pause right now to thank and praise You El-Roi, for who You are–the God Who Sees Me!
