Standing on the Promises: Loneliness

Posted on October 18, 2025October 17, 2025 by SGLY Devotionals

A Precious Promise: Loneliness
“I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:18

Thoughts:

  • We have God Almighty as our Father.
  • We have the Holy Spirit, our Helper, dwelling inside of us.
  • We have Jesus’ promise that He will return for us.

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever–the Spirit of truth,”(Words of Jesus)  John 14:16

“I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you.”(
Words of Jesus) John 14:18

We have no reason to be lonely! We are not ever alone!

So, today let’s :

  • Shed our feelings of loneliness.
  • Tell God that we are so thankful that we are His children.
  • Thank Him for sending His Spirit to dwell inside of us.
  • Focus on the blessed hope of Jesus’ return for us.

Prayer:
Dear God,
As a Believer, I see from Your word that I am never alone, because I have You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit with me always. I am so thankful for that knowledge, God.

Please, help me to remember these promises daily so if I should ever start to feel lonely, I will be reminded to look to You, read Your word and know that I am never alone.

Thank You Father. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
