A Psalms Prayer Pocket for when you are: HATED
He delivered me from my strong enemy, From those who hated me, For they were too strong for me. Psalm 18:17 (NKJV)
There was a time in my life that I remember being hated by a co-worker who was jealous of me. She would do things to undermine me at work and tell lies about me to make herself look good. One lie she told about me caused the manager to call an employee meeting to discuss the problem. It was a very difficult time for me, and I prayed and asked the Lord for wisdom on what to do, as well as for His protection. As I walked into work the morning of the meeting this scripture popped into my head: “the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.” Psalm 63:11. And, indeed the enemy’s mouth was stopped! At the meeting as I testified the truth and two other employees backed up my testimony, the lying co-worker ran from the room speechless and shamed. The Lord had delivered me! I was so thankful.
Sometimes in our life we may find ourselves being hated, it might be for what we believe or because we disagree with someone, or at other times we may not even know why someone hates us.
They may be jealous of us, or perhaps they are insecure, and our confidence in ourselves makes them feel intimidated, or perhaps they have a bad spirit controlling them. Whatever the reason, if we find ourselves being hated we should pray and ask the Lord to protect us and to deliver us from these enemies. We should let the Lord handle the situation for He knows best what to do.
Pocket Prayer:
Dear Lord, today I am feeling Hated because: _______________________________.(tell the Lord why you feel you are hated today)
But—I will not fear my strong enemy for I know You will deliver me from those who hate me.
You will put to shame those who hate me and will save me. I will believe Your word. I will place my trust in You and I will be safe.
Thank You Lord. Amen.
But You have saved us from our enemies, and have put to shame those who hated us. Psalm 44:7(NKJV)
He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy. Psalm 106:10(NKJV)
