August 17–Psalms Prayer Pocket–Day 17

Posted on August 17, 2025August 17, 2025 by SGLY Devotionals

A Psalms Prayer Pocket for when you are: JOBLESS
The Lord knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever, They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
Psalm 37:18-19 (NKJV)

When we find ourselves un-employed through no fault of our own, or even because of something we did, it can be devastating.  It can be a time that fear, anxiety and depression come flooding in to overwhelm us.  But as believers we need to reject the negativity and stay focused on God and His word and trust in Him to work all things together for good for us.  We need to stay positive and pray.  We need to view it all as an opportunity to move into something better, as a sign that God is closing a door but opening a new door for us into something that is a step up in our life.  So, just take a deep breath, bow your head and pray for God to lead and guide you to what is best for you, for He has a plan and purpose for your life, and it is for good and not evil.  So trust Him on your knees in prayer, until He tells you to get up and walk into the new door He is opening for you.

Pocket Prayer:
Dear Lord, today I am Jobless because___________________________________.(tell the Lord how you are feeling today because you are jobless)

Lord, I always try to live uprightly, and I am always honest in all that I do, I believe You know my situation right now, and I believe that You will provide for me.
I will not feel dishonor, or disgrace, or regret, because I believe You will satisfy all my needs and fulfill Your purpose for me.
I believe that You are ordering my steps, Lord, so I will trust in You to lead me to the place You want me to be.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand.
Psalm 37:23-24 (NKJV)
