A “One Anothering” Scripture and Thought
Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God. Romans 15:7
Receive means:
- to admit into an organization or membership,
- to accept from another by hearing or listening
- to greet or welcome guests or visitors.
Therefore, we believers are to admit our brothers and sisters in Christ into our church body just as Christ did when He admitted us into Him, accepting us as we were at the time and forgiving us for any sins we repented of. We are to accept one another in love and warmly welcome visitors or guests just as Christ would do.
ONE-ANOTHERING IN ACTION:
Today look around you and take the opportunity to receive your brothers and sisters in Christ as Christ would do. Love them, greet them and accept them, as they are, praying for them daily to continue growing in the faith. As you do this, God will be glorified through your actions.
so accept each other just as Christ has accepted you; then God will be glorified. Romans 15:7
