A “One Anothering” Scripture and Thought
Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. Galatians 5:26
Envy means:
- a feeling of discontent
- covetousness
- ill will
Envy is something very negative. It can destroy relationships. It can cause divisions in the body of Christ.
Scripture warns us against envy and its counterpart jealousy.
ONE-ANOTHERING IN ACTION:
Today examine yourself to see if there might be any envy in you.
Do you have a feeling of discontent, ill will, or covetousness towards any brother or sister in Christ?
If you do, confess it to the Lord and ask His forgiveness. Then, ask Him to replace that envy with His love,
so you can practice “one anothering” as He wants you to do.
for where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. James 3:16
