August 27—Psalms Prayer Pocket—Day 27

Posted on August 27, 2025August 25, 2025 by SGLY Devotionals

A Psalms Prayer Pocket for when you need: Strength

The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace. Psalm 29:11 NKJV

Somedays we are just so weary and worn out that we don’t think we can go on. Perhaps we didn’t sleep well, or we had a hard day at work, or financial problems seem overwhelming or sickness looms around us. We just need strength to make it through the day, and that is when we can call upon the Lord to give us His strength.
One of my favorite verses is Isaiah 40:29 which says: He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.
And there are also many verses in the book of Psalms about strength.
So, no matter what our need is, we can pray to the Lord to receive His strength when we have none of our own.

Pocket Prayer:
Dear Lord, I need Strength today because_______________________________________.(tell the Lord why you need strength today)

Lord, Your word says You will give strength to Your people, and I am praying for that today Lord because I am feeling so weak.
I need Your power today, Lord. I need Your might and Your strength.
You are my very present help, Lord. I am calling upon You now, to strengthen me and give me Your peace, for then I will tell everyone:
“My body and my heart may grow weak, but God is the strength of my heart and all I need forever.” because, “It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.”
(Psalm 43:26 NLV and Psalm 18:32 NIV) Thank You Lord. Amen.

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 NKJV

The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed. Psalm 41:3 NKJV
