Walk-in-All-God's-Ways-Deuteronomy--10.12

January 10—Walk in All God’s Ways—Deuteronomy 10:12

Walk in All God’s Ways.
“And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”  Deuteronomy 10:12.

In this verse, Moses is speaking to the Israelites, he is reminding them of what the Lord God requires of them, that they are to reverence the Lord, and walk in all His ways by living their lives in love, service and obedience to Him.
This verse applies to us believers today as well.  Since we are in a relationship with the Lord, we need to live our lives respecting His will, walking daily in His ways, loving Him, serving Him, and obeying Him.

The Amplified Bible expands a bit more on this verse to perhaps make it easier to understand.
“And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you,
but to fear [and worship] the Lord your God [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect],
to walk [that is, to live each and every day] in all His ways
and to love Him,
and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul [your choices, your thoughts, your whole being],”
Deuteronomy 10:12.

Jesus said in Matthew 22:37: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”  This pretty much confirms what was said in Deuteronomy.  Basically, we should live our daily lives walking in ALL of God’s ways.
