Walk in All God’s Ways.
“Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.” Jeremiah 7:23
Twice before in the book of Deuteronomy we have seen God telling the people to walk in all His ways, and yet here again He is once more saying it. What a patient God He is! He keeps reaching out to the people who turn away from Him. He keeps reminding them that He loves them and wants a close personal relationship with them. He tells them that all will be well with their lives and He will be their God and they will be His people if they will just walk in all the ways that He has commanded them, yet many do not listen and they go their own ways and live lives of sadness and destruction because they refused to obey.
God is still speaking the same words to us today. He is telling us to obey His voice and all will be well with us. He loves us and wants a close personal relationship with us today. All we have to do is to walk in all the ways that He has commanded us to do. Are we listening? Are we willing to say yes and obey?
Walking in all God’s ways means choosing to follow Him on a path that He has planned out for us. It is a choice to live according to His will, even when it may be a challenge. Living according to His will probably set us apart from much of the world around us. We may lose friends, be mocked, or not be accepted into some worldly circles, yet choosing to walk in all of God’s ways is the best choice we can ever make today and for all time.
I hope this verse serves as a guiding light, to remind you of the blessed connection that forms when you choose to obey God’s voice and walk in all His ways.
You shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you,… Deuteronomy 5:33.
…what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, Deuteronomy 10:12
