Walk-in-the-Spirit--Galatians-5.25

January 5—Walk in the Spirit—Galatians 5:25

Posted on January 5, 2026January 4, 2026 by SGLY Devotionals

Walk in the Spirit.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25.

The Apostle Paul is saying here in Galatians chapter 5 that those who have been saved by Christ and who have received His Holy Spirit should be living what they have believed and received.  Their lives should be reflecting the fruits of the Holy Spirit and their daily walk through life should show the Holy Spirit is leading and guiding them.
He says: “If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit. Let us not become vain glorious and self-conceited, competitive and challenging and provoking and irritating to one another, envying and being jealous of one another”
Galatians 5:25-26 (Amplified Bible).

So basically, walking in the Spirit is to live each day relying on the Holy Spirit’s divine guidance rather than our natural impulses.

“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.”  Galatians 5:16-17.
