July 28–Who Am I in Christ — Strengthened

Posted on July 28, 2025July 25, 2025 by SGLY Devotionals

In Christ I am: STRENGTHENED
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 NKJV

Believers, this verse tells us that we need not become depressed nor give up when we are facing any trouble, for Christ can strengthen us to endure it.

And, we need not yield to temptation, for Christ is able to make a way for our escape.
For 1Corinthians 10:13 says: No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
Christ is our way of escape, for He gives us the strength to bear it.

And, we don’t need to be harassed or upset if we are struck with improper thoughts or unholy desires, for we can know that those are not of God, but that they are sent by satan or our fleshly nature, and that in Christ, we have the strength to banish such thoughts from our mind and restore ourselves to right thinking, for this verse says “I can do all things through Christ“.
Remember, with God nothing is impossible, therefore believe it and stand in it.

Whenever you feel weak, tempted, burdened or worried, repeat this verse to yourself and pray.  Ask Christ for His strength to help you and He will.  Remember, He said “, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”  Hebrews 13:5 NLT

Prayer:
Dear Jesus,
I pray that you will use Your glorious riches to make me strong.  May Your Holy Spirit, who dwells within me, give me power deep down inside of me so that I will be strengthened with patience and endurance to face any trial, trouble, doubt, or temptation that comes my way today.  Thank You Jesus, in Your name I pray. Amen.
(prayer based on Ephesians 3:16 and Colossians 1:11)

Fellow Believers, in Christ, we are blessed with His strength so let’s put our Armor on every day and “be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.” Ephesians 6:10 ESV
